Vulcanic extraction heads for Historics sale 5 Nov 2013 (News)
Having been kept in a warm, dry environment for so many years, the Vulcan is in fine condition and has been fully recommissioned, serviced and is running, as it did in 1911, powered by a four cylinder, two litre engine. It comes to sale at Historics supplied with a V5C registration document, an old style 'buff' log book and other such papers. -

RM's London auction extended to two days 17 Jul 2013 (News)
The 'Ultimate Collection' contains three 300SLs, including a 1956 Gullwing (£800,000–900,000), a 1961 Roadster (£750,000–850,000), and an accurate replica of a 300SLS Racing, a car engineered in 1990 but built using original 1957 running gear (£700,000–800,000). RM Auctions’ annual London sale will be further enhanced this year by its new association with the St James’ Concours of Elegance. In the past, the event has featured the renowned motor car collection of Bernie Ecclestone, as well as James Bond’s Aston Martin DB5 that was featured in Goldfinger. -

Vauxhall celebrates being the oldest surviving UK manufacturer at the NEC 6 Nov 2012 (News)
The car line-up, which have all been supplied by the Vauxhall Heritage Centre includes the veteran 1904 6HP, fresh from its appearance in the London to Brighton run, and the pre-war 1926 30-98, generally regarded to be the UK's first 100mph production car. The main attraction for hot hatch fans will be the selection of Astras: the 1983 Astra GTE Mk1, 1989 GTE 16V Mk2, a current production VXR, and the 1986 Astra 4S rally car, an ill-fated attempt by Vauxhall to muscle in on Group B rallying. -

Audi to showcase four new S models at Frankfurt 1 Sep 2011 (News)
As you’d expect from high-spec Audi models, there’s a host of technology fitted to all of the new S models, including sports tuned air suspension, active noise cancellation, full time quattro all-wheel drive, LED running lights and Wi-Fi connectivity for the MMI infotainment system. A 360° reversing camera allows the driver to see a full picture of the cars surroundings, thanks to four small cameras which transmit a spliced image on the MMI screen. -
Hyundai now a Police 'Preferred Supplier' 26 Sep 2010 (News)
The contract allows all police forces in the UK to purchase Hyundai cars and vans and is expected to give the company a substantial share of the 7,800 vehicles purchased annually for police work outside of London, plus around 2,000 acquired by the Metropolitan force in the capital. As part of the tender process, experts look closely at the purchase and running costs, performance, quality and resale value of vehicles. The most popular Hyundai vehicles are expected to be the i20, i30, ix35, Santa Fe and iLoad van. Several are already on trial at forces around the country, including London’s Metropolitan force, the biggest in the UK. -
SEAT unveils Summer offers on its range 15 Jul 2010 (News)
SEAT has announced that a number of offers will be running on its cars throughout the Summer. The deals include discounts, low rate finance, servicing bundles and cover almost every model in the SEAT range. Tyres are arguably the most important safety component on a car and UK law requires tyres to have a minimum of 1.6mm of tread on all running tyres. Motorists face a £2500 fine and 3 penalty points on their licence if they break the law. Chevrolet Cruze Race Series for 2010 14 Jan 2010 (News)
” The Cruze Cup consists of seven rounds of three 20-minute races at circuits across the UK, kicking off at Rockingham, Northants, on the weekend of April 10 and 11. Hyundai Imports 10,000 Cars to Meet September Demand 18 Aug 2009 (News)
The company secured extra production of the most popular i10, i20 and i30 models and has rushed them to Britain to make sure buyers can secure scrappage funds before the government’s pot of cash runs out. In the past month more than 10,000 new Hyundai cars have arrived at Tilbury docks in Essex, been processed and sent straight out to dealers. This is three times the amount of vehicles processed in the same period last year. -
