  • BMW 5 Series E39 - Washers not working / Rear door not opening 10 Dec 2016 (Forum)
Have had a poke around but nothing obvious. Is it common for the pump to fail but still make a noise as if its working? Also the n/s rear door wont open from outside. The handle feels normal, not loose, just as if the car is locked. It opens fine from inside, the button goes up with the central locking as normal. It did open once the other day but now refuses to open anymore!

  • Vauxhall Corsa - Changing car 7 Nov 2014 (Forum)
Had a look at various car supermarkets and the choice has been reduced to a 1.2 SXi which are plentiful but without air con and a couple of 1.4's with aircon. Both choices are very low mileage. My wife averages about 200 miles per week mostly on a fast dual carriageway. My last experience of Vauxhall was a Viva HB so any upto date opinions re Corsa would be more than welcome.

The gear lever moves to all positions and while phsically on drive position car can move but display is still showing R, My local mechanic also identified that N/S driver shaft seal leaking and suggested to take the car to Peugeot garage for which i am planning to do for diagnostics, Wondering if some one experienced the same issues and its gona a be an easy fix or an expansive fix with future risk with the gearbox?
  • VW Golf Mk7 1.4 GT DSG - Engine Rattle 29 Jul 2014 (Forum)
My Golf''s engine emits a light rattle when the engine is accelerating or under load. It stops immediately the foot is lifted off the accelerator. The noise is quite quiet, especially from the driver's side but this is probably because the passenger can pick it up being bounced back off roadside walls etc.
  • vauxhall vectra c - 3 button flip key fob loses programming 29 Jun 2014 (Forum)
Although its easy to reprogram, it is annoying, especially late at night. The battery is good (it unlocks from distance). The s****** is happy to relieve me of £130 to make a duplicate. Its my only key and i'm sure there is a better, cheaper way round it! Should i take the fob apart and inspect? cheers all!
