  Thr car runs well and occasionally fails to start. I wait 2 to 3 minutes try again and usually starts. it can literally go months between blips. it can be Winter or Summer so not weather related. Desperate for a fix as I really love this vehicle abd owned it since 1997.

  I was reading in a different on line motoring magazine that the new Land Rover Defender will be the most high tech car yet, more than the latest Discovery and Range Rover etc. Are Land Rover now nothing more than a Chelsea tractor school run manufacturer and forgetting what the Defender is really all about. I fear for the reliability issues if it is to be laden with Tech.

  There are a few mobile phone offences that does not reflect the number of people I see driving and using phones (often school run!) or tailgating (which seems ever more frequent and aggressive). Is it not time there was more real policing on the roads?

  Ive been reading some posts regarding this and people have got codes by giving these details M105324 RDS 6000 I believe it is. My battery run out and I've used the code on the Audio guide but for some reason it doesn't work. If someone can help me out that would be a massive help. Thank you

    bought a 2004 1.6 vauxhall astra twinport. when driving the car,upto 50 mph the car has a little judder.after 50mph the car runs great. the car starts first time and idles normal. the engine management light is on(continous).  could my car have a faulty coilpack...any help appreciated. thanks.
• Citroen C4 Picasso - Misfiring when cold 10 Jun 2015 (Forum)
  After starting the engine it ticks over normally for about 1 minute then it struggles for the next 2 minutes misfiring. After this it runs perfectly. Citroen dealership say it's unusual and not really had the problem with petrol engines. The de pollution alarm is standing however I'm unsure if the 2 are connected.

  Their is a smell of rubber or burning type smell when starting car in morning asnd running engine for about five minutes.  The rubber  smell is there before I drive the car. I noticed the rubber smell after I had a new Cat exhaust fitted to the Rover car and not before the cat exhaust was fitted.

  We've just retired and want to tour the continent with a two birth caravan. We need a car that's powerful enough to do the job , but small enough to be used as a run about when we return home. Preferably a cabriolet. Am I being too picky or is the answer to my dreams waiting on a forecourt,any constructive advice much appreciated
• Ford Focus - high revs 31 Mar 2015 (Forum)
  focus mk1 1.8 zetec petrol occasionally revs high to 4000rpm when declutching; does not drop back to tick over and car will drive/ accelerate  with no throttle applied! Eventually (10 miles or so) engine will return to normal. All quite disconcerting. When running 'normal' at cruising speed engine will occasionally feel as if it is misfiring for a split second. Restarting doesn't solve the problem. Any ideas?

  Hi all, I have an 06 1.7 meriva. The heater isn't  working, I leave it running for at least 15/20 mins in the morning to demist and when I get I  the car it's barely warm, I then drive 5 miles to work and it still doesn't, get warm. Anybody have any ideas? Many thanks

  I'm thinking of buying a dash cam for my new car and would like some advice on what to go for. Ideally I'd like one that is battery powered rather than running off the cigarette lighter as I don't really want wires dangling down from dashboard or hard wired into the car so I can transfer it easily into another car if needs be.   Thanks.

  I understand that these cars are not as fast as they look, but from start it is glacial. Today could not keep up with a nissan micra from lights.  Does it just need more running in, or has low millage meant a build up of something that needs flushing Advice appeciated

  Only went to Russell Automotive Centre for the first time for just an MOT test. Very professionally run garage with helpful staff. My car passed first time and it only cost £29.95. This will now be my garage for all future repairs and servicing. It was a very easy expirence for an old man like me so it worth sharing.

  My missus drove the car with a split top hose it overheated and stopped running what sort of damage is done?i did get it to start the next day after turning engine over and over but turned it off obviously,im waiting for a hose to fit then try again to start it,Thanks for any advise

• peugeot 307 petrol 1.6glx 2001 - dashboard lights on 20 Feb 2014 (Forum)
  just bought peugeot 307 as a run around 2 days ago last night the 2 dashboard lights came on  first the car sliding about (maybe ABS) and then shortly after the RED STOP light....... worried about driving to a garage to find out whats the error or even worse is the lights a serious problem....any ideas please

  My car windows run with condensation all the time. When it's cold I have ice inside and out. I have real problems clearing the windows in order to start my journey. I have not been able to find any water leaks. Does anyone have any suggestions as to why or have I just got to grin and bear it.

    I have just changed the cam belt and flexible fuel lines coming from the top of the fuel tank on my 1989 peugeot 205 gti 1.6. The car however will no longer start. I have no idea what it could be as it was running absolutely fine before I started this work! Any advice would be greatly received! Thanks in advance! Fred

  I've got a rattle on the engine on cold start up and sounds a bit like a sewing machine when warm, just wondering if it's the tappets or something a bit more serious. Runs perfect otherwise, doesn't burn any oil and plenty of power. Any one have any ideas. Thanks.
