Galaxy Air Con 22 Feb 2007 (Forum)
Hi everyone Having problems with the air con on my 2001 Ford Galaxy, 115ps TDI. I have never been a fan of the system used on this vehicle. It is complicated and fiddly to use when you're driving. To those who are familiar with the VW/Audi set up, it is similar to that, ie. an LCD display, one showing a symbol for the rear of the car, the other for the front. -
Mercedes-Benz A-Class - Air conditioning expert 24 May 2012 (Forum)
My wife's A-Class (2007) has a hole in the condenser so the air con does not work and there is no point re-gassing it. The dealer has quoted £600 to replace of which he says well over half is made up of parts. Before I let the dealer do it, can anyone recommend an expert in the Manchester area who could give me a cheaper quotation. -
Renault kangoo cabin filter 19 Aug 2005 (Forum)
The cabin filter for the air-con on my 04 Kangoo seems blocked after a very dusty holiday. Air flow is way down and it smells !Problem is that I can't find the filter and don't want to visit the main dealer until I need to at 18000mls ( I change the oil and filter myself at 6000 ) . -

Where to buy R134a in small amounts? 28 Jan 2023 (Forum)
I have a very small leak in my air con system. It seems to need refilling every 12 months or so. I have taken it to air con specialists twice now but they can't track down the leak. Rather than keep paying them to refill it periodically, I would like to buy some R134a in smaller quantities and refill it myself. -

Ford Focus CC diesel - £942 for a service and work - pants pulled down? 7 Oct 2013 (Forum)
Took my 6 year old Focus CC turbo diesel (38000 miles) in for a service today. I knew the brakes needed looking at (advisory on my last service) and I requested an air-con check. Service = £195, air-con check = £30. So I'd braced myself for a bill of at least £225. Guy phones me after two hours and says (a) front and rear discs and pads need replacing (b) wipers need replacing (c) fuel additive needs replacing otherwise the DPF could fail and land me with a £1500 bill (d) brake fluid needs changing Total bill came in at £942. -
Ford CMax 1.8 petrol - Disconnecting the alternator 13 Sep 2010 (Forum)
I'm getting a whining noise when the engine is first starting in the morning which disappears a soon as the engine has warmed up a little. Sounds like the water pump bearing, but the noise is coming from more in the direction of the air con pump. Switching the air con on and off doesn't make any difference though. I have checked the water pump in situ and there is a very tiny amount of play in the bearing, but otherwise it feels smooth. -

Help! Pug 306 Radiator swap nightmare 27 Aug 2001 (Forum)
The radiator on my 306 (1996, new shape DTurbo, with air con) needs replacing - the only problem is it looks like the radiator is married to the airconditioning condenser. Combine this with virtually zero clearance to disconnect the bottom hoses (located on drivers side) it looks like an absolute mare. -
