  • Volkswagen Passat Alltrack (2015 - 2020) (Reviews)
The Passat Alltrack is a thoroughly convincing car – arguably the best model in the Passat range. But it was unable to compete with the countless family SUVs on sale, which led to Volkswagen axing it from the range in 2020. The Volkswagen Passat Alltrack competes in the small but fiercely competitive 4x4 estate market. Based on the standard Passat estate, the Alltrack boasts extra ground clearance, four-wheel drive and some protective body armour to enable it to go places the standard Passat models cannot reach.
  • Volkswagen Passat Estate (2015 - 2024) (Reviews)
Like its saloon counterpart, the Volkswagen Passat Estate is a significant step forward from the previous model. It’s sharper-looking, more spacious, more comfortable and packed with the latest technology. The all important load space has been increased - up to 650 litres from 603 litres, expandable to a huge 1780 litres by folding the seats.
  • Volkswagen Passat GTE (2015 - 2024) (Reviews)
For those who tend to spend a lot of time on the motorway a diesel is still a better bet – and they’re cheaper to buy too. If there’s anything less offensive in the motoring world than a Volkswagen Passat then we’ve yet to discover it, and with the GTE the Passat gets even more sensible thanks to a plug-in hybrid powertrain. It mates a 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine with an electric motor and battery, which has enough power when fully charged to allow the Passat GTE up to 34 miles of quiet, electric-only motoring.
  • Volkswagen e-Golf (2014 - 2020) (Reviews)
It also has familiarity on its side. It’s very much like any other Volkswagen Golf from behind the wheel. For those who want an electric vehicle without anything weird or wacky, there is plenty of appeal. Fancy a sportier version of the Volkswagen e-Golf? Read our review of the Volkswagen Golf GTE here .
  • Volkswagen e-Up (2014 - 2023) (Reviews)
The Volkswagen e-Up is a pure EV version of its city car, sitting alongside Volkswagen Group alternatives like the Skoda Citigo-e iV and SEAT Mii Electric , as well as alternatives like the Renault Zoe and Nissan Leaf .
  • Volkswagen Golf R (2014 - 2020) (Reviews)
If you're looking for the newer version, you need our Volkswagen Golf R review .  The Volkswagen Golf R sits at the top of the performance tree for this hatchback range, yet it doesn’t shout about its abilities in the way it looks.
  • Volkswagen Golf SV (2014 - 2020) (Reviews)
What does the SV in Volkswagen Golf SV stand for? It might surprise you to discover that it means Sport Van, which is the car’s official name in Europe. Perhaps sensibly, Volkswagen decided that something might be lost in translation in the UK, because the Golf SV is neither sporty or a van.
  • Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet (2013 - 2019) (Reviews)
Not enough of you bought a Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet, which is why it has been consigned to the history books. Today, if you fancy a drop-top Volkswagen, your only option is the T-Roc Cabriolet. You can’t even buy a Golf Cabriolet.

  • Volkswagen Golf GTI (2013 - 2020) (Reviews)
If you're looking for the newer version, you need our Volkswagen Golf GTI review .  The Volkswagen Golf GTI is a constant of the hot hatch sector. Where others have waxed and waned with their offerings, Volkswagen has consistently offered drivers a hot version of its hatch and they have, generally, repaid this by choosing the GTI in large numbers.
  • Volkswagen Passat Alltrack (2012 - 2015) (Reviews)
If you don't want a full-sized 4x4 like the Touareg but need more than a normal estate, the Alltrack could be the perfect compromise. Volkswagen Passat Alltrack 2012 Road Test
  • Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet (2011 - 2016) (Reviews)
The Golf Cabriolet has always been a popular and instantly recognisable part of the Volkswagen line-up. So it’s all the more puzzling why it took nine years to replace it. Since the old Cabriolet (which was a Golf III with a Golf IV nose grafted onto the front) went off sale in 2002, there’s been the Beetle Cabriolet and Eos, but neither of these drop-top Volkswagens has quite hit the spot in the same way as the Golf Cabriolet did.
  • Volkswagen Polo GTI (2010 - 2018) (Reviews)
Read our review here . The Volkswagen Polo GTI was intended as a junior Golf GTI, but it only really hit the mark when it gained a 1.8-litre turbo engine in 2015. With the Volkswagen Golf GTI a huge success, a smaller hot hatch would be just as big an earner – that was the thinking behind the original Volkswagen Polo GTI.
  • Volkswagen Golf Estate (2009 - 2013) (Reviews)
This Volkswagen Golf estate isn't quite as new as it looks. It may have the headlights and grille of the 2009 MK VI Golf hatchback, but it's essentially the same car that was on sale from 2007-2009. Volkswagen has done something similar with the Golf Plus and both cars are based on the Golf MK V, rather than the newer MK VI.
  • Volkswagen Golf Plus (2009 - 2014) (Reviews)
The Volkswagen Golf Plus sits a little awkwardly in the range. It's marginally larger than the standard Golf hatchback, yet doesn't quite offer the huge space of the estate. Those who are likely to find it most appealing are small families who are looking for practicality in a compact package.
  • Volkswagen Passat CC (2008 - 2012) (Reviews)
Very good looking, stylish alternative to the standard Passat. Coupe looks with plenty of rear passenger space. Quality improvements.
  • Volkswagen Golf Estate (2007 - 2009) (Reviews)
If you're looking for the newer version, you need our Volkswagen Golf Estate review .
  • Volkswagen Golf Plus (2005 - 2009) (Reviews)
A taller, roomier, more versatile version of the Golf Mk V. Good ride and reasonably tidy handling. The 2.0 TDI 140 DSG is the one to have.
  • Volkswagen Golf R32 (2005 - 2009) (Reviews)
    Quick, surefooted and well equipped.
  • Volkswagen T5 Transporter Shuttle (2004 - 2010) (Reviews)
Commercial vehicle that seats up to nine. Decent spec and some good diesel engines.
