  Hi, noticed this evening that the battery light on the dash is staying on after the car is started, the light isnt very bright but definately on , could this be the alternator on its way out? or a knackered battery? any ideas please.

  I don?t imagine these batteries carry a 5 year warranty on a new car so it looks likely that I will have to buy a new battery tomorrow. I recall someone on this site saying that Unipart batteries carry a lifetime warranty. Do all batteries of the same amp hour have the same external dimensions?.

  I do less miles these days (car last used on Monday), jumped in my car this morning and hey presto flat battery, I've taken it off and the status light indicates RED, does this mean the battery is knacked and needs replacing or would using a battery charger fix the problem,  I have looked around on the net, a lot of advice is american and car specific.

  I have a 55 plate Corsa 1.2 and the battery is always flat. I know Ive been told to replace it but is there something else which causes a flat battery as opposed to the obvious battery replacement?. I have been having to use jump leads to start it recently, even after a good run the car wont start the following day. ould there be something which is like trickle draining it, or is it the battery which needs replacing.

  Hi, 99% sure I need to replace the battery in my 2013 Seat Alhambra 2l Tdi with start stop, have trickle charged it a number of times and it's not holding charge even after 50/60 mile run. Current battery is Exide TU3 EFB 79Ah, 720A (EN/SAE/GS), from all I've read I should replace with same or better, I'm open to going to an AGM battery and have found a Bosch battery that I think I'm happy with.

  The two items, viz., battery module and pcb are pressed together by sponge behind the battery module. Over time the curled metal contacts lose their springiness, the solder pads become compressed and the contact becomes intermittent and then fails, mimicing battery failure.
