  • Citroen C5 (2001 - 2008) - Cracked tyre valves/pressure sensors 2 Sep 2008 (Forum)
Then, last week, with the car having been idle for two weeks, the pressure warning appeared again, this time for the O/S Front. I didn't try to add air before I inspected the wheel and, sure enough, the valve/sensor is cracked. One changed wheel later (thanks RAC - no thanks to "WKTF") and the leasing company are now interested in finding out if this is normal through their channels.
  • Abuse of blue badges. A possible solution. 10 Aug 2008 (Forum)
There are anecdotal suggestions that at Surbiton station car park there are cars that park there all day, five days a week and there are questions over how disabled they may be. ?If there?s evidence that there?s a substantial revenue loss in car parks that may persuade the executive that it is worth saving that loss.? The findings will be presented to the council in the autumn and the council will decide what action to take at the end of the year."
  • KIA Sedona (2006 - ) - 2007 2.9TD Auto - short test drive 15 Nov 2007 (Forum)
Dashboard seems to be reasonably well laid out, although climate control buttons are too numerous, with the least used bottons as big s the ones that are used frequently. Driving - wow - quick off the mark for anything, diesel, auto or both. Remarkably smooth and quiet inside although I think it s lot noisier outside. A shot drive revealed it to be reasonably adept over potholes and speed bumps - again better than the Trajet.

ve turned it upside down So what happens if wifey takes the Focus to the station and back and I get the second car! So what?s it to be My journey to work is 8 miles, so 16 per day, plus 9 months of the year I travel into London twice a week (quite a bit of Mway plus Tjams). • 'Cold' Starting problems. Polo 1993 17 Apr 2006 (Forum)
For the last couple of days, I have had some trouble starting my car from cold ('93 Polo 1043 Inj). When I say cold, I mean if it?s left for a day or two. It?s like the car has flooded or is running far too rich. You get in, and turn the key and its spins with endless enthusiasm, but just will NOT fire. Take today for example.
  • What's your earliest car memories 10 Mar 2006 (Forum)
This must of been about 1962 or 3 i'd have been 3 or 4 Then i can remember a Beford CA Utilabreak then one of 3 VW type 2's my dad had Then in 1968 his bussness was doing well and he treated himself to a new car a Morris 1800. My mother insisted on it being black so was to special order. I can remember being picked up from school the 1st day we had it.
  • Would any of you help? 20 Jan 2006 (Forum)
t give a monkeys. Drive like an idiot in the snow and take what?s coming to you. It probably depends on circumstance but in snow, with my children in the car I wouldn?t stop to help anyone, another time maybe if it looked serious and I had nothing better to do, I might...
  • Prescott Hillclimb Drivers School 6 Jun 2005 (Forum)
A week ago I had a text message from BMW offering a free day?s driving tuition at Prescott Hill, for Wednesday 3 rd June, using one?s own car. As I live less than half an hour from Prescott it seemed too good an offer to miss. Unfortunately Wednesday turned out to be a wet day on the hill but none the less was a very enjoyable day.
  • 1980 Mini 1000 - Running far too rich 26 May 2005 (Forum)
I have the following kit: Exhaust bits from Mini Spares: Manifold Std bore exhaust long centre branch Large inlet manifold for HS6 drilled + plug for servo S/Steel side exit DTM twinpipe S/Steel downpipe LCB to rear box Plus K & N cone filter & HIF 44 carb Pipercross cone filter & HS4 carb (currently in the car) Someone suggested I just ditch the cone filter and re-fit the big air box filter, but others run their cars using a cone filter so I am sure its not impossible.
  • Another car crime statistic...... 11 Dec 2003 (Forum)
You often see it in papers and mags and occasionally on the TV but never think it\'s going to happen to you - but last night some pink fluffy dice have come along and nicked the alloys on my Omega and left it on bricks or breeze blocks to be precise!! First thing I knew about it was early this morning when a neighbour knocked on the door and said \"You\'re not going to believe this but all 4 wheels on your car have been nicked!
  • And the new Toadster is: 26 Nov 2002 (Forum)
Known problems: Water leak in the boot. Lights on buzzer doesn?t buzz. Bodywork not ?as new?. Apart from that it?s a gem. I paid 400 quid. Plus I can use keep my roof bars which saves me 50 quid. We must have looked at over 30 cars between 500 and 1500 quid. (Cavs, Mondeos, a 318, an Alfa 164, a golf!) This was the best by a large margin and cheapest by an large margin.
  • Deathwish kiddies. 22 Apr 2002 (Forum)
In Norwich, especially in the immediate suburbs there appears to an increasing trend of bored young kids ranging from angry 8's to furious 14's to taunt and obstruct cars that are already going slowly due to the kids presence. Two tricks: 1. Run up the road in front of the car eventually slowing to a stop in a crowd in front of the car where they subsequently taunt and hurl abuse at the occupants. 2.
  • If you really want to pick fault with company car 10 Dec 2001 (Forum)
m not working undercover for the treasury, I?d like to make the following point: Imagine you have just chosen your next company car, let?s assume a popular choice - because it?s a lovely car and has an attractive CO2 g/km tax rating (but any car would do) so, you?re looking forward to collecting a Peugeot 406 2.2HDi 136 GTX. If you allow your employer to provide fuel for private use in this company car, the Inland Revenue will include in your income tax affairs an annual ?
  • FIAT Panda (2003 - ) - Panda in Austria (review) 5 Nov 2008 (Forum)
But overall, a very pleasant and easy car to drive. Other comments. The car could only be locked and unlocked from the driver?s door - central (but not remote) locking - and there was no keyhole in the passenger door, something I don?t recall seeing before. My wife commented that because one sits higher up, one?s head is closer to the ceiling, so one cannot see the mountain scenery as well as one could with the Ka.
  • Porsche Boxster 986 + Boxster S (1996 - 2004) - 'S' first impresions 1 Nov 2007 (Forum)
Real life kept getting in the way. I've just taken delivery of my new toy, a 2001 Porsche Boxster S, procured slightly accidentally from a dealer friend who phoned me from the auction recently and asked me if I fancied one and on the spur of the moment I decided that I did. It was cheap, well below trade book so on paper I've got a bargain, but I bought it for some fun, not as an investment, so how I'll concentrate on telling you what it's like to drive.
  • More on Hydrogen. 17 Jan 2002 (Forum)
The real problem, and one that car makers by definition have no interest in addressing, is western society?s addiction to the car. Is there an alternative? One person who thinks so is Dean Kamen, an American inventor, who unveiled his much-hyped Segway Human Transporter, a fancy computerised scooter, in December. ?
  • Citroen c3 picasso - Central locking causing battery drain 12 Aug 2024 (Forum)
Hello, I have identified f8 20A fuse as the culprit circuit/s causing parasitic drain of battery to the tune of 1.5A. Having pulled it the immediate problem is solved but as the radio and display are also through this I need to find out how to permanently repair the problem.im having difficulty finding wiring diagram on the Internet.
  • Skoda, the good old days? 6 May 2024 (Forum)
v=-sCbANU_W3o"> The butt of many jokes but I'm not sure they were really that bad, certainly in terms of reliability?. At the technical college I attended back in the late 80's, a mate had an Estelle 120 (of the age the cars in the video) and at the same time, I had a Lada 1600!. I also remember my Grandfather having a late Estelle 120 (though I think the name Estelle might ave been dropped and it was just a Skoda 120?)
  • Red Bull Racing - Another disappointment for Honda 3 Feb 2023 (Forum)
Really disappointing news that so soon after announcing that Honda would continue to be RBR s engine partner for next year, they confirm that they are moving to Ford from 2026. Honda have proved to be a reliable and consistent  partner over  the last few seasons , providing the performance and reliability for RBR to dominate MB and Ferrari .
  • Citroen C6 - Citroen C6 classic car status 4 Mar 2021 (Forum)
Has there been a recent concerted effort to establish Citroen C6's as modern classics? I have quite fancied one of these for ages but never got round to it. Usually they are about 6-8 on autotrader but atm there are only 2 at around £ 3-4000. Maybe it's just the Covid general car price rise but they do seem to be creeping up.
