  Two from me are: A Passion for Porsches (formerly Porsche Past and Present) by Denis Jenkinson (so much more than just a car book: brilliant travelogue as well) Drive on! by LJK Setright: Not Clarkson/Hammond lite but rewards perseverance as absolutely fascinating.
• Mitsubishi L200 pickups (2000 - 2006) - 05 2.5t endine over revving 17 Jul 2009 (Forum)
  The problem is with an L200 pick-up, the engine is revving about 500rpm higher than needs whilst driving. Also whilst sitting say at traffic lights it sum times drops or sticks but not for long. Any help. Thanks ron.

  I have a Renault Clio 1.5dci. Twice in the last year whilst driving, the engine has just cut out on me. I have restarted and driven away and the car has been fine. Anybody have any ideas as to what is causing this?

  the car starts fine, whilst idling you can hear a wee intermitten splutter which gets worse when driving. Abit like running out of fuel! Anyone with any idea's. Cheerz Ronnie
• Route to Munich 15 May 2009 (Forum)
  Afternoon all, I've got to drive a van to Munich on Saturday. Am going through the tunnel, and I have the option of breaking the trip, although I need to be there by lunch on Sunday. Anyone have ideas on the best route? Obviously the usual fun on the autobahn is less relevant in a 105 bhp Transporter, so least hassle / most pleasant is the criteria.

  It only seems to cover major cities and they've blurred out faces and reg numbers but I'd imagine a few here could spot their cars at work or in the drive! And whatever your views on the big brother aspect, it is pretty amazing technology.

  Most garages are full of lawnmowers, bicycles and junk. There is a famous house in Devizes where the builders realised that the drive was too steep to get a car into the garage - so they built a flight of steps leading up to it, on the basis that nobody wants a garage for a car these days.

  Hi, on my partners focus, her steering wheel will tend to shake a bit when driving at speed, she had the balancing done a while ago but it didn't help. Could it be a buckled wheel? If so, how can I check which one needs doing?

  This morning while driving up a hill i noticed the car seemed to lose power and the management light flashed on went off and flashed back on. Im taking the car in to the garage tommorow. Any ideas on what this might be?

  hi problem with my 53 reg kangoo van. my key fob stopped working replaced battery in it and it still does not work, but i can still drive it and the red light still flashes on steering column any ideas ?

  Just bought a secondhand Seat Ibiza Sport. Am looking at replacing all 4 tyres as there nearly come to there life span. I dont drive the car hard, Sometimes at a quickish pace but very rare. Am looking for the follow. Quite running Moderate grip (dry/wet) Best place for tyres, Online or highstreet. Thanks in advance Luke

  About a year ago, by chance, I came across a website with very detailled car data (final drive ratios, steering turns lock-lock, exact dimensions). This data was listed for almost all years of almost all cars on the world market. Can anyone post the URL of such a site, I can no longer find it using Google.

  Whilst driving on the motorway, and puting my window up, there was a loud clunk / bang from within the door. the window then came down really fast and now wont go back up. when i turne d the engin off and on again, it sounded lime a motor was wrking, but the window wont move?

  2003 Focus 2.0 TDCI, engines cuts out while driving but starts up again immediately anyone have any ideas. I was told that possible fault is with on board computer. Car has only 60k miles on it and otherwise goes fine. Many thanks

  Dose anyone know what could possibly be the cause of oil running down on to my clutch peddal. Its quite a pain as you can imagine it get quite slippy when driving. It dosnt look or smell like engine oli Its more of a clear oil.
