Audi, Hall Sender - what it's look like? 21 Jul 2006 (Forum)
I am trying to find out what a hall sender looks like for a 1985 (B reg?) Audi Coupe GT 1998cc (I think). It's actually my mothers who lives in France (had the car from new!!) but it cuts out for no reason and starts ok a few minutes later. Various relays have been replaced by the local garages to no avail and after investigation by moi it may well be the hall sender (or sensor as some might know it). -
Accord Electrical Problem Rectified 5 Jul 2005 (Forum)
It first started in May last year, when the car was less than three months old, and has been back to the dealer twice and on the back of a lorry to the Honda agent in Brive, France. None could find a problem and the French dealer merely replaced the fuse - again. I 'phoned Honda when I returned from France and complained, and the car went in this morning. The fault was found to be a wire in the loom of the tailgate that had chafed, and was shorting out against a rough piece of interior bodywork in the tailgate. -
Florida car hire 9 Jul 2003 (Forum)
I don't need anything too big but it has to be cool (SWMBO stipulation), what are the going rates for sept/oct?. Not a soft top. Any suggestions? Also, cautionary tale, last year I hired a car in France using a prepaid voucher from a large rental company. 3 months later I was charged again for the hire by the rental desk in France. Turns out that one part of this company had gone bankrupt (the one that issued the prepaid vouchers) and so when the voucher was cashed by the rental desk it bounced, so they charged me again. -

SP: Hourly rates, the excesive hourly rates are to provide the rubber plant, comfortable seating, free coffee, papers and many staff that main agents have. I used to go to France to have my MB serviced at a dealer there, less than half the price of my local Kent based MB, and I got to go shopping as well! -

One for the Traffic Police 23 Apr 2003 (Forum)
Reason I am asking is that in Scotland they still have the conventional access / exit route? 2. Whilst in France I occasionally listened to Radio 2 for news etc and was amazed on the road reports the amount of motorways etc that are closed for hours after an RTA. In France, the police will very quickly clear the scene of an RTA without all the investigations we do here. -
