  Oh Help! My S reg rover has developed a nasty juddery rattling reluctance to start. I looked under bonnet this morning to find the water level a bit low NOT DRY (please say it's not a gasket) ....of course my garage only doing MOTs today.

  I'm happy with the tyres, they appear to give a good compromise of grip and tyre wear, however they must be the noisiest tyres I've ever had on a car! So, I'm happy to have P6000's refitted, but thought I'd ask if anyone on here has any other suggestions? Cheers! James

• Volvo S80 suspension noises 15 Aug 2005 (Forum)
  I have a 1999V S80 which occasionally makes rather ominous clonking noises from the N/S suspension when going over irregular road surfaces or over undulations on a smooth road surface. Sometimes it sounds like the front suspension; sometimes the rear. The ball joint was replaced in a recall; both steering stops have been replaced as well as both anti-roll bar links.

  It's definately gearbox oil leaking and not engine oil and it seems to have lightly covered the nearside components with oil ie n/s driveshaft and wishbone. Any ideas of what this is likely to be? Many Thanks Steveo

  Recently i bought an S reg (1998) Peugeot 306 (1.6 petrol engine Meridian Model.) The 1st week it drove without problems, but now it refuses to start. I have looked at the fuel pump which is fine and checked the fuses again these are ok, the car turns over when i turn the key so the battery is fine aswell.

  O/s front parking bulb has blown. The car has HID lights and in the book it says remove the rubber cap and pull out the bulb to replace. Sounds easy, but space is somewhat confined. However I can reach the back of the bulb but it will not come out.

  I have a Renault Laguna 2.0L 16v 98 volvo lump NQ7 or N7Q, I have had the exhaust replaced after the cat secton, as it was blowing a little.The fuel consumption has gone out the roof,this was the case before the replacement exhaust. its doing something like low 20's. which is alarming. Does anyone know if its likely to be a sensor of sorts, or anyone had the same problem.

  Hi- Car just had annual service.On returning home I noticed that when I use the footbrake the N/S front sidelight comes on with the brakelights. Anyone know what could be causing this and could it be as a result of the service? Coincidentaly the annual service is usually followed by an expensive period where previously unknown faults manifest themselves.

  Could you please give me information on how to fix the dropped drivers side door on my brothers scirocco. It?s dropped and can let in water! A ?how to? or a few pointers or even a good VW/scirocco site would be cool. Is it just a case of loosening the hinge bolts and realigning? What gap should be around the door?

  Can anyone give me more information about the turbo diesel engines used in Toyota Camry?s. There are two which I am interested in: 1984/5 1800cc turbo diesel engine and the 1985/6 2000cc turbo diesel engine. Do these have Japanese toyota engines, or are they shared with another brand? Are there any known engine faults with these engines?
