Ford Galaxy - Needing advice on buying a banger 22 Sep 2021 (Forum)
The silver lining of the crazy used car market at the moment means I'm now in around £1500 equity. Just had our third kid, and both my wife and I run our own businesses. So our thinking is this; Buy a banger of a 7 seater, and a decent city car (Mii/citigo/up etc). Looking for your thoughts on this - https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/202109117264775? -

Peugeot 307 SW - Bought a trade car with no V5C 13 May 2021 (Forum)
Hi A friend has just bought a car privately from someone who works in the motor trade who was running the car himself and he in turn appears to have bought the car from a friend who is another dealer as a trade car and has been running it as such (i.e. he never bothered to get the V5C). So the problem is there is no V5C with the car and obviously my friend is obviously trying to get the thing registered in his name. -

Chevy 250 straight 6 30 Jun 2020 (Forum)
It has the stock carb, intake, exhaust, all that which I plan to rebuild all that and keep it original. But, as far as internals go, what should I do? It runs well as is. Did cars in 1967 still run on leaded gas? If so, what do I need to do to convert it over to unleaded? What about the crankshaft, you're supposed to use zinc additive to protect the lobes or something, is there anything I can do about that? -

Daihatsu Skywing - Getting air out of the cooling system 9 Oct 2019 (Forum)
Thought I'd blown the head gasket but it stopped eventually On refil I ran it with a funnel jammed in the radiator fill which coolant could expand into, and stopped after the fan had run for a couple of minutes. Obviously not good enough. More thorough procedures I can think of include::- (a Running it untill the coolant boils, disabling the fan if necessary. This will hopefully drive off any trapped air, but could risk damage and/or injury. -
