Ford Mondeo - Mondeo 2.0 TDDI 2001 Wont Start! 20 Feb 2011 (Forum)
I cracked of the injector pipes and cranked over Cylinder's 1, 3 & 4 just dribble out but cylinder 2 fires out as you would expect it too. I removed the fuel line into the high pressure pump and cranked it over and fuel rushes out which rules out the lift pump. I suspect the fault lies in the high pressure pump but im unsure if its the mechanical part of the pump or the ecu part of the pump? -

Mondeo 2006, Duratec Engine, 2.0 Liter Petrol - Engine Cutting Out / Stuttering Intermittently 10 Oct 2010 (Forum)
Sometimes it would stutter all of a sudden, the rev needle would go up and down and sometimes the battery light would come as if the car has lost power then it would go again, if i am on the highway the problem is much less noticeable because I think the car catches up again because of the momentum, this has been happening since the past 4 months, i took it to ford and nothing came up on the computer check. I dont think its a fuel related issue but I still changed the fuel filter just to be sure. Any ideas? ...... can it be the the cam or the crank sensor? -

Peugeot Partner Combi (2001 - 2004) - 03 2.0HDi starting problems 22 Feb 2010 (Forum)
When the engine is hot it will not start. When it is cold (eg left overnight) it starts and runs normally. It initially looked like a fuel problem. Priming the fuel system helped to start the engine. The dealer has also re-checked the valve timing. After a lot of testing the dealer believes the fault lies with the ECU (a Siemens model). -
Volkswagen Polo III (1994 - 1999) - 98 1.6 Lumpy acceleration when cold and jerky over 17 Feb 2010 (Forum)
Problem is that when cold it has recently developed a persistent tendency to flat spot when accelerating at low to medium throttle settings - when warm or hot it runs perfectly. The engine also jerks on the over-run at all temps as if the fuel cut off is being overly enthusiastic. Starting is always fine and fuel consumption normal. Interestingly, when it came back from its annual service very recently these faults had seemingly disappeared only to return a few weeks later. -
What motorway MPG for Transit sized van? 16 Feb 2010 (Forum)
The thing is normally my company reimburse business miles at 13p a mile and I'd be surprised that will cover the fuel usage of a van of this size (I'll be doing circa 1,500 miles). I want to broach the subject now to manage expectations before I put my total fuel claim in but would like an idea of what MPG to expect on the motorway. -

Ford Focus II (2004 - 2007) - 05 1.6 DPF failure 24 Apr 2009 (Forum)
Have got a Focus estate, 3 months outside of warranty that is having problems with the fuel system. Started off as a faulty fuel injector. Ford delivered three new injectors to the dealer and they also proved to be faulty. I am now told that the Diesel Particulate Filter is blocked and that it needs replacing at a cost of over £1000. -
Peugeot 306 (1993 - 2001) - 2000 hdi erractic idle when cold. 17 Apr 2009 (Forum)
When move off it stutters between 2-4000 rpm then pulls fine. It seems fine when on a steady drive. I have changed fuel filter and checked for metal bits, there aren't any. I replaced fuel relay, the brown one near inner wing. Had all codes checked - there are no codes in ecu. The only thing i haven't changed is the pump in tank. -
Changing my car, but which one? 23 Feb 2009 (Forum)
The problem is, 3 weeks ago I've gone from working 12miles from my home to about 75! I'm getting expensed, which just about covers the cost of the fuel/oil but I don't think the RX-8 is the kind of car you put 500 miles/week on and run into the ground. It's an 04, done about 30k. I want a more fuel efficient car that I can put the miles on and don't really want to spend more than my trade-in plus a couple of hundred quid. -
Good old foaming at the mouth Derv 8 Feb 2009 (Forum)
I last saw this years ago using supermarket Derv and perhaps have been spoilt by exclusively using Shell none foaming fuel which gives a clear fuel `surface` in the filler neck. So what`s the score on foaming - for those who fill up with differing brands - perhaps this was a one off? -
Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - 00 1.8 coil light on loss of power 21 Dec 2008 (Forum)
I've been told it could be one of the following : crankshaft sensor , throttle sensor, camshaft sensor, fuel solenoid, injectors, fuel filter and flush of system, sounds expensive to try this all out though. Rae -
size of torx screwdriver 1 Nov 2008 (Forum)
I need to unscrew the fuse box to be able to take out the old fuel relay and replace it. Only problem, is that the fuse box is attached with torx/star screws and i don't have a torx/star screwdriver. Just wondered if anyone with the same car, knows what size torx/star screwdriver to use?
