    Turn off traffic lights at non peak times, especially at night. I have no idea how much it costs to run a traffic light, let use use a figure of £1 a day.     Trying toy help out a friend whos 03 reg, 1800 petrol,115000 mile Mondeo Graphite is giving him grief. When he starts up and the engine is cold the car is running fine When the engine gets hot he starts to lose powerand the engine seems to stutter. He stops car swicthes off the engine starts up again and the engine runs fine for another few miles and then the same thing happens again.

    This car, at 45000 miles, suddenly started running very badly, and the engine management warning light started flashing, but did not remain on. The car felt like it had a fuel problem, as if running out of petrol, and wouldn't go above 50mph. The main Ford main dealer hooked it up to their test equipment today, and diagnosed fault P04304 - misfire on cylinder 4.

    There is talk of a wiring loom trick but my Xantia doesn't match what others have talked about (i.e. Two MAF wires joining to one) and I'm running out of ideas to fix this problem! I'm almost 100% certain it is not the sensor. I get a management light on when driving, there is no loss of performance or poor running. All the fault code says is "Accelerator Position Sensor Circuit Improbable" Any help would be appreciated.
