  On the lower dash there is a small display about an inch square that reads "ion" With a light at top which reads "clean" And another currently unlit light that simply reads "ion" What is this for and how does one do the clean??? There's no owners handbook (Japanese import)

  As a follow on from my thread on the Mazda 5 which I have now decided against, any opinions from owners or former owners of the Premacy. They look a cheap buy second hand and the sport would give me plenty toys including the all important sunroof although there is no diesel version, but at the prices I would be making a big saving against new alternatives.

  When you buy abroad . I have noted it is possible to buy the car ex vat . my question when i import back into the uk . I presume i pay at the uk rate correct and it goes to the uk customs etc or to the uk customs take the vat and forwarded back to the export country? can anyone help? thanks

  Honda CG125, not the boxy new shape but the "classic" shape. It's Japanese made one. It's a grey import with an MPH speedo and a Km Odometer. (Strange) 3.3k Km o its clock. What's it worth ?

  Direct imports from Germany are tempting, the only problem is fuel consumption. I think that all W140 use straight-six engines ? How do they cope with LPG conversion ? We're talking smaller ones, like 280 or 300 (I guess 300 is actually 3.2) ?

  However, I am a little nervous in case there is something that I am not aware of regarding the spec of the car (I understand that these cars are European imports) and the warranty. Does anyone have recent experience of doing this and if so could you share your findings?

  I imported a mercedes S320 in dec. last year and unlike the same car purchased through a UK dealer where it would have a three year warranty, it only benefits from a one year warranty. Mercedes Uk won't extend it for whatever reason.

  I have just imported a new VW Golf GTI turbo. I am wondering if I should have it serviced at a VW dealer, or at an Independent VW specialist. Would the value of the car be adversely affected. My only worry about the independents is that they do not have much knowledge of later models, although I suspect serving is pretty straightforward.

• Mitsubishi - Mitsubishi takes control in UK 21 Oct 2009 (Forum)
  Saw some interesting news for those of us who have had issues with Colt Car Company, the official UK importers. Mitsubishi have taken full control of them. It was run by a father & son, the father has retired and the son is no longer involved in the business. Let's hope that means a more professional approach and response in the future.
