Barons Jaguar Auction Set for 29th May 3 May 2012 (News)
Estimate: £45,000-£55,000. A 1968 MkII 3.8 Sports Saloon in the sale is a truly unique car because it is equipped with an engine block that never actually made it into production. Jaguar was experimenting with a single timing chain, and fitted a number of cars with single chain heads, but these were removed from all but one 3.4 MkII and one 3.8, and replaced with normal heads before the cars were released for sale. -

Le Mans winning Jaguar D-type breaks auction record 21 Aug 2016 (News)
A Le Mans winning Jaguar D-type has smashed the record for a British car sold at auction. The 1955 car, chassis number XKD 501, fetched $21,780,000 (£16.6m) at RM Sotheby’s Monterey sale in California on Friday. The car, arguably the most important Jaguar ever made, was the subject of a 15-minute bidding war between four collectors before the hammer went down – although it didn’t make its $25m high estimate. -
Italian classics welcome at La Vie en Blu 10 Dec 2015 (News)
The annual pageant of French motoring enthusiasm, La Vie en Blu, is widening its appeal to include Italian cars under the banner ‘La Vito Rosso’. A host of cars have been confirmed for next year’s event, which will be its tenth running. There’s a Bugatti Veyron Supersport and a Bugatti Pur Sang, but also a Ferrari Enzo, and a 1965 Ferrari 275 GTB set to appear. -
Two 1963 E-Type Roadsters in Historics 6th June Auction 9 May 2015 (News)
Top British car in the auction is a wonderful 1935 Lagonda M45 Rapide; a 100mph car even in 1935. This T7 bodied example was one of a collection of three Lagondas, and restoration was completed by the present owner who bought the car in 2002. -

Legendary Jaguar test driver Norman Dewis awarded OBE 1 Jan 2015 (News)
Legendary Jaguar test driver Norman Dewis as been awarded an OBE in the New Year’s Honours list. Dewis, 94, has helped develop 25 cars and is widely regarded as one of the best in his field. His input can be found on the Le Mans-winning C-type and D-type racing car, the XK140 and XK150 as well as the 2.4/3.4 MkI models, plus the MkII , MkVII and Mk VIIM models. -
1968 Hepworth/Ferguson makes southern debut at Pistons & Props 1 Sep 2014 (News)
Built by British racing driver, the late David Hepworth in 1968, this Formula 5000 four-wheel drive car was the first car to break the 30-second barrier at Shelsley Walsh in 1971. Hepworth International, run by David’s son Stephen, will also bring the original Cooper/Chevrolet hillclimb car.
