  Normally pricing such a car would be easy, but this car is still showroom fresh with only 32K miles on it an absolutely full SH, cambelt and water pump done a couple of years ago, full MOT new battery a month ago and in generally sublime condition to an almost atomic level, 10 months tax and a near full tank of diesel. We have no use for the car so realistically how much do you folks think it is worth ?

  All the relevant lights come on on the turn of the key, but the car makes no attempt to turn the engine over. I have tested the battery, which is fine. Is there something I am missing?

  Hi There This my first post i hope someone may be able to help i have a astra with a misfire and have found no 1 injector is not working after changing them around its still the same i have checked the wirs from it to a small black box by the fuel ecu situated next to the battery has anyone come up against this problem before? and if so can you advise me what to try next ohh and i have changed the fuel filter with no change to the fault.   I think it's a short and would love some ideas on where exactly to start looking, haven't tried disconnecting the battery as I don't want to risk making it worse as at least the car still starts at the moment

  My car is an Audi A3 2.0 Tdi 170PS and I am worried that I'm killing it. Winter mornings and evenings mean a heavy load on the battery etc. but I'm more concerned about the long term damage this is causing. I try to take the car on a longer run at the weekends or indeed a little bit of Italian tune up by revving the car quite highly once towards the end of the commute.

  hi to all i have recently purchased an 05 plate damaged repairable ford mondeo tdci it has light front end damage and fitted to the front of the car are 2 white plastic canisters with a rubber tube that comes from both canisters and is linked into the air pipe between the air filter box and turbo and there is also a positve and negitive feed from each canister which is linked direct to the battery does any1 have any idea what this is ??? i have been told it is a fuel saving device if this is true how does it work thanks in advance for any info  kind regards Neil

  I have recently encountered problem after problem with my clio, and now am unable to start the vehicle. The battery is perfectly fine as when starting the ignition it does turn over. The problem I have is the fact that my light constantly flashes which means that it doesn't recognise my key, but after a couple of attempts it turns into a solid light that doesn't fade.

  My SEAT Ibiza diesel was serviced and MOTed on Friday. On the way home form the garage I turned on the radio and it seems that the battery had been disconnected since the screen displays the prompt for the radio code. However, on consulting the manual to get the code and the correct way to enter it I can't make it work. I get the display to read the correct sequence of digits but then nothing happens upon pressing the button to confimr the code.

  can any one help me my speedo, rev counter, and digital displays keep stopping whilst i drive along and then come back on again, when they go off i get the battery light come on the engine management light comes on (orange) and the red and yellow star like lights come on ow and the tempreture gauge stops working it does this randomly and its driving me mad sometimes if you tap the dash they will come back on.

  i am looking for a a central locking fob for my civic, mine has stopped working, new battery only three weeks ago,its the infra red type, honda quoted me £75+vat and an hours labour to programme it  ,cant afford that, ebay have only later ones,sellers are not knowledgeable about the ones there selling some suggest rover 400 fobs others say they wont work,i didnt realize trying to replace it would be so hard ,has anyone any ideas what my best course of action is to source one

  hi i have a cherokee jeep.its cost me loads of money ever since i took it back to a jeep specialist in birmingham   iv had nothing but problems with it .now i have a new problem but have no more money to spend on it. after leaveing my jeep at a railway car park over a weekend i tried to start my jeep but it will not start i had the rac look at it he sead theres a electrical fuilt he tested the battery and sead the charge rate was fine but.theres drain of 0.7 amp some were .please help eney one .thank you

  PS: Some cars do have a digital fuel gauge now but instead of actual value, it shows digital bars (like mobile phone battery level).

  Hi all I've got a 306 D-turbo and the remote central locking is playing up. I've replaced the batteries in the fob and reprogrammed it but it still won't do anything when I press either of the buttons. I reckon it is the reciever that is faulty but I can't get the roof console off to look at it. Can anyone tell me how to get it off?

  I'm hoping someone may have some help for me, i have a message come up on my Focus C-max 56 plate 1.8 petrol reading ''power assist failure'', recently the battery had gone flat and it was during this period the message came up, i have been told that i probably need a new steering pump, however the steering feels the way it should and certainly doesnt feel like its failed or anything.

  The symptoms are: - when starting and driving cold the idle is fine - on some days the idle is fine - if I drive on a highway with more (throttle) the idle takes some time to settle down (but not over-revving) - it seems that after removing the battery and connecting it again the idle behaves fine for a few days What could it be, the computer?   i had it running but it takes a real long time to start and alot of the time i am having to use jump leads because the battery goes flat through turning it over to much I really need information as to whether I use a DTI gauge. any info would be really greatfull cheers shouting removed

  For a while it worked but then the hatch door wouldn't lock. As far as the immobiliser is concerned I took the battery for a charge & on replacing have been unable to get the alarm to switch off! What am I doing wrong? My guess is a new remote would help with the central locking but have no clue to the second issue!
