  hi all new on here need help i have golf gt tdi 150 arl code the what the problem is i start the car up i can rev it but after a few mins there a knocking nosie at the top the higher i rev it the louder it gets i have had bottem bareing changed thought it was that but no still but when  it running below 2000 revs no noise over there noise. can any one help

  twice this has happened to me on my way to work and made me late in the last couple of months when i stop for a few minutes at the petrol station for my paper or petrol i get back in the car everything does as it is supposed to do but the engine simply will not turn over no sounds or nothing  it is a zafira A 1.6 petrol manual 2000 any clues will be helpful thanks.   forgot to say after about 30 minutes it will start with no problems and run as normal.

  Just discovered today that my 1992 GRDT has a fuel leak, it appears to be coming from around the back of fuel injector (mechanical). if anyone has any insight as to what the specific cause or any solutions may be that would be greatly appreciated. It appears to be a regular drip when the engine is running but I cant tell if it leaks at all while it is off. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance.

  much seems to have been made about the components of common rail injection systems which are lubricated by the fuel itself. i.e. high pressure pump, injectors etc. Seeing as some of the long-running horror stories seem to concentrate on the use of "contaminated fuel" or supermarket-grade fuel - I wonder if there is a product on the market that can be added to diesel to provide additional lubricity?

  This only last a couple of seconds, and appears to be like a sympathetic vibration an certain revs. Apart from this the car runs well and the are no other noises or problems. Thanks in advance Doug

  hi, Can anyone help, my engine keeps running after removing the key from the ignition. I have seen some threads that hint at a solenoid problem. Can anyone describe this for me and tell me if it is a difficult and/or expensive fix.   Could it be anything else?

  Hi my bmw e39 525d i think smells abit excessive of that typical diesal smell ya get from all modern common rail engines, the car runs fine it just smells abit strong dont know weather this is down to it being a big 6 cylinder engine i dont know. Can someone help me please. Thanks Jason

  hi corsa c runs fine from cold ie no missing. when normal temperature reached starts to send random missfires to number 2 cylinder. hydrocarbons are still low with this missfire .checked signal to injector. no pulse on number 2 cylinder. swapped injectors over thinking i had found the fault only to have the same result no pulse number 2 cylinder random missfires via eobd heeeeeeeeelp

  This a.m. it wouldn't easily start after driving for 3 miles then waiting for 5 minutes, also when waiting at junctions the engine has a tendency to run slower and slower then stop (seems to re-start OK, mostly, occarional repeated attempts needed). Any ideas what's up? If any further info. would be useful I'll try & give it! s

  I`ve noticed a couple of times recently that after a fairly long run, water drips out onto the road below the radiator, presumably from the overflow pipe. Enough  to form a small pool of water. The radiator header/expansion tank is not overfilled and is near to but below the Max. mark.

  WHILST DRIVING ROUND A ROUND ABOUT OUR DIESEL MONDEO DECIDED IT WOULD JUST STOPPED RUNNING, GOT THE CAR HOME AND PUT MORE DIESEL IN. IT TURNS OVER OK AND SEEMS LIKE IT WANTS TO START, FIRES BUT JUST WONT START. THERE IS DIESEL COMING OUT OF EACH INJECTOR AND IT FIRES BUT WONT START.????

  I have just had my aircon regassed and now my blower motor has stopped. It was alwats running on low no matter what setting I had it on so I suspect it was the resisitor that has gone. Is there any way of bypassing the resistor for a live feed to check the blower is still working before I get a new resistor?

  I have purchassed the above vehicle to use as a second car on mainly short runs, it appears Haynes do not do a workshop manual for this car, does any one know  if one is available from another source, I do not want a Dealers workshop technical type or one that has to be downloaded Also does anyone know if this vehicle is fitted with a pollen filter and if so where is it located.
• Ford Mondeo tcdi 115 2002. - Cup holder removal from Facia. 28 May 2010 (Forum)
  Please help as I am at my wits end The cup holder is broken and needs to be replaced however I have removed the gear gaiter,and the plastic silver gear surround, and even the plastic piece that runs alongside the inside of the passenger footwell. I simply cannot see the three screws that im told will release the cup holder... Help... my brain is Frazzled.thankyou Shanice.

    I remember the successful DAF Transmatic that was applied to a racing car to prove a point before it was retired because of 'fashion'. Does the engine of the Legacy run straight away at optimum speed until the car catches up as did the DAF ?

  i recently purchased a 91 bmw 318is, i have been experiencing problems with the fuel system, the car runs fine cold but it wont idle, once it warms up it doesnt want to take fuel, it seems to be holding around 15 to 20 ponds of fuel pressure, i have change dthe filter, does anyone know how much fuel pressure it is suppossed to have?

  It was recovered by the RAC and he seemed to think there is no fuel getting to the engine. It has a quarter of a tank. The garage have run diagnostic and it is coming with a P0606 error and P0089. It has just had the oil filter and air filter replaced. recently the fuel filter was changed due to a loss in power when accelerating.

  fiesta zetec 1.4 tdci 2004 went to start the car this morning it ran for a second or two then cut out now it wont start again its still firing over but wont run does any one have a similar problem or an answer to this thanks engine and year edited in - you're new so you're forgiven, we do ask three time before you post though !
