  Can anybody help, My Ford Fiesta TDCi has Km50,000 & this afternoon car couldn't start. The mechanic came to see it & he said he has to examine it tomorrow. Basicallay battery power is ok, the only signals lite up are the oil (red , stays on) & the seat belt sign ( yellow, for a couple of seconds ). The ignition dosen't even try to start......................is this serious or just a fuse ?

  I sometimes had to press it a few times before it would lock or unlock the car. The other day it decided to stop working alltogether. I have checked the battery and that is ok. Is it possible to reset the key or could there be a different problem with this? Thanks

  This is an intermitant thing and has happened twice after stopping for refreshment on a long journey. Battery and starter motor seem fine and have performed O.K. for normal home journeys

  my remote fob seem to be faulty, when i press the fob the doors will not unlock,if i unlock the doors using the fob key this sets the alarm off and the hazard warning lights. the car will start but i still have the alarm problem with it going off at regular intervals the battery in the fob has been changed and the light in the fob does illuminate. any ideas welcome. thanks

  Hi, just had some work done on the car, the battery was removed so now the radio/CD player isn't working and its asking for codes. Can anyone help me out with these? Its just we lost the manual ages ago (thing was left on the roof when we drove off!)

  I changed the batteries in my key fob for my renault megane e RT 1999 1.4. Now the key fob wont work to turn off the immobiliser, the remote central locking doesn't work either. Does anyone have any idea why its stopped working and what i have to do to fix it??

  Just had a phone call from Pugeout saying my Fault that occured regarding my flashing light is the ECU. Reckon the Month old battery has caused it to spike and knackered the initial process that tells fuel system to engage. Any Ideas? Is this garbage or sound about right. There charging me 3 1/2 hrs labour at 92 to tell me this.

  hi my battery died in my car and when i jumped it my fob wouldnt work, i know the fob is workin as its just a new 1 i got a few weeks back. some1 told me i might need to resync it, does any1 know how to do this. all help n advice would be welcome.

  Hi, has anyone got any ideas on how to reprogram a vauxhall combo van key? I have just changed the battery & the little red LED lights up when both buttons are pressed but it wont lock or unlock using the fob! I have tried the ignition on press buttons route to no avail!! any ideas would be much appreciated Many thanks Scott

  When it starts getting warm I can hear the a relay or something click but the fan doesn't start. I have checked the fan works by dropping across a battery and it's fine. It doesn't kick in when I turn the a/c on either Any ideas?

  It starts fine, but it runs very rough for a couple of seconds before settling on a normal idle. I'm not sure what could causing this, glow plugs, air in fuel system, battery? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks, Craig.

  Hi, My Kangoo van has developed a strange fault where when I turn the key the low fuel light will illuminate and stay on and the speedo clock and mileage will be blank. Also the fuel gauge shows empty and the rev counter is also dead. If i disconnect the battery and reconnect it the fault goes away until the next day. Any ideas please?

  Driving back from shops, it lost power then refused to engage any gears (auto). I've tried disconnecting battery to reset as mentioned elsewhere but no joy. There is no error message on dash (ie EP). The engine under tray came off recently, could this have anything to do with it ? Many thanks iain

  Hi The temperature gauge needle drops off to the left moments after the engine starts, which i think then causes the two fans to start (including fan 2 even though the air con is off). The gauge appears to be working while the key is turned to the 'battery' position. Would be very grateful for any advice. Thanks

  When I turn ignition key nothing happens, but battery is fine and when I run a direct live feed to the solenoid the car starts and drives ok. Mechanic suggested that either the ignition switch or the starter relay is faulty, but I cannot locate the starter relay, any ideas where it is located or has anyone had a similar experience.

  The car won't open with the remote control and when I use the key the alarm goes off but stops when the ignition is switched on. I've changed the battery in the remote control but it hasn't made any difference - any suggestions? {year added to subject header - the 3 separate requests for this obviously became invisible again!}

  In the very cloudy conditions today its output varies very rapidly (i.e darts all over the place) between about 5v. and 17v. Is this normal? Will the car battery be happy with a constantly varying charge?

  my sons just bought a 01 polo with a beta radio. the radio code is not with the handbook and i've been unable to locate previous owner.despite the handbook saying contact a main agent for free help the main agent wants to charge me because i didn't buy the car from him. the radio works fine now but what if i change the battery or disconnect it for any other reason?

  The cooling fan just keeps running even when the engine is shut off and will keep going until the battery is flat. I suspect a stuck thermal switch somewhere from my experience with previous cars. I've just got the Galaxy so I'm not familiar with its systems. The model is 1.9 TDI year 2001.

  Unclipping the screw covers on the outside sets off the tamper alarm, and presumably if I did keep going and disconnect the siren, it will go off of its own accord (assuming the internal battery is still any good....). -- RichardW Is it illogical? It must be Citroen....
