Aston Martin V8 Vantage - Advice pls: Vantage 4.3 / Jaguar XKR 12 Apr 2017 (Forum)
But I wonder in real life what the extra parts would be 2) The Jag is auto - does this mean it won't get off the lights straight away (like my Audi TT which annoyingly waits a split second unless I use launch control)? 3) With the Jag I can either get XKR 4.2 or XKR-S which is faster but dearer. Or the 5.0 XKR which is similar price to XKR-S btu similar speed because better engine. Any thoughts on which is better? 4) Any other advice/observations that may help me decide? -

Mondeo 2ltr, 130, tdci, 56-plate - Gear Changing Problems 10 Dec 2012 (Forum)
The mechanic at the garage was doing my job as the first one he`d done on this car. He jacked up the engine to do it and removed the engine mounting driver`s side...he jacked up the engine quite a bit on the driver`s side. Eventually got the belt on and everything re-fitted. Drove home the 8 miles with no gearchanging problems and stoped in at shopes 500yds from my house. -
Campervan - Help please 31 Oct 2009 (Forum)
Would prefer mid kitchen (with oven) and rear lounge (so if one is lying down, the other need not disturb them if cooking and access to the cab etc is easy) ? Swivel front seat(s) (So we could sit and eat up front if the bed is made up or if we choose to) ? We have approx £23,000 for the right vehicle. ? We will be taking two bicycles. We are happy camping and do not require luxury but do want to be comfortable for six months. -
Current trends reduces new car desirability? 3 Oct 2008 (Forum)
I'm wondering whether it's the fact that everything nowadays is such a compromise i.e. fuel costs have made V8's and V6's a no-no unless you're doing seriously limited mileage and/or the new tax classes.. a diesel is practical but boring, so for the first time if i can't get what I want, i'm not prepared to take a big dive on depreciation etc, so i'll keep what i've got I do spend more than is probably prudent keeping my 9 yr old car in tip top condition (just had both bumpers re-sprayed re minor parking scrapes), but have never been anywhere near to being a champion of bangernomics what's happening to me? -
Ford Focus II (2004 - 2007) - 05 1.6tdci Bonnet lock mechanism / cautionary tale 14 May 2008 (Forum)
The moral being if you have this lock on your Focus, keep the bonnet lock and key barrel well lubricated. The cure could be very painful ££?s. -
Aging population as car buyers 4 Mar 2007 (Forum)
You have Focus saloons, Corollas, Skoda Felicia, a Passat, Honda Jazz, Honda Civic, Rover 416, Astra, lots of Volvo S/V40's etc etc. Since the older buyers tend to have somewhat different needs when buying cars in general, will this have any knock-on effect as they become a bigger car buying section of society? It may have no effect at all of course, but with pensioners loosing money and worries over future pensioners not saving now, will there be a greater demand for cheaper, more practical cars in the future which just do the A-B motoring? -

vauxhall vectra brakes binding 8 Oct 2006 (Forum)
Hi, i have a 2002 vectra 1.8 sxi, lovely car, but the brakes have started to bind. The offside front is worse, tho it`s still affecting the nearside front. This is an intermittent problem, when get in car first thing, the brake pedal will travel to near the floor, after a couple of pumps, you can hardly touch it before having to peel your face off the windscreen. -
One car two prices 13 Jun 2005 (Forum)
Yesterday I put a deposit down on a Citroen C3 1.4 SX, six months old from local Citroen Dealer. I had actually gone out to look at C1's, but they were too small: considered a new C3 Desire but having test drove the 54 reg SX on the forecourt, bought that for slightly cheaper, at £8495 before discount PX etc. I am happy with the deal, the finance and glad of the PX for my Octavia. £500 Deposit left. -
How do I get better fuel consumption 3 Jan 2005 (Forum)
Scenic dci 120 with approx 6k on the clock. The most mpg I am getting is very low 40's whereas the manual says I should be looking at 38.2 / 56.5 / 48.7 respectively for urban, extra urban and Combined. I can understand that when SWMBO has it for a week at a time doing 2 mile journeys to college then it will be the lower end of the scale. -
Audi A3 Thoughts 12 Nov 2004 (Forum)
BUT - I am doing quite a bit of mileage now and it has to go I think distressing as it might be, it need s a lot of servicing, the repair bill can be high, and the fuel consumption is another story. Anyone want to buy? Having looked at some impressive diesel cars I really like the Audi A3 2.0 diesel with DSG. -
Rover 75 Tourer 14 Jun 2003 (Forum)
Certainly - don't buy a Rover 75, new, or almost new, with your own money !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! An Aston Martin would cost less to run when the 75's depreciation is taken into account!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Paul {Forest of Bowland} -
Lagos ... Motoring hell! 20 Jan 2003 (Forum)
Skoda, VW, Merc, Renault all well represented, as are Toyota, Nissan and Peugeot. Most vehicles seem to be Pug 504's (the circa 75 one!), favoured by govt departments, it wopuld appear. about 10% of all vehicles DON'T have some form of accident damage! Despite the poor state of the roads, there are still a fair few Flash motors - I saw more Jag XK8's than I have ij Cape Town! -
Decisions, decisions .......... 16 Apr 2002 (Forum)
The M5 would beat most so called sports cars hands down for pure enjoyment and driver satisfaction ? it?s a proper sports car just with a saloon body, the 540 on the other hand will be more ?relaxed? (if you can call 286bhp and almost 300 lbft of torque relaxed !) and more flexible as it can be had in estate form. -

I have bought both CTS anyway, PN 059919501a, the smaller one, and the other, PN 8170794RMP Where are these located, and are they easy to swap out? cheers -
