Buses:I am so angry I could explode! 29 Jan 2005 (Forum)
Enquire why and apparently 6.00pm is a kind of Railway witching hour where prices change. Forget that then. Second option bus: 1 change £22 cost plus £3 for headphones to watch TV. Journey time 7 hours. Journey time a bit long, but price is right and time is not critical so me thinks go for it. As a precaution check with a human the coach time and he agrees 8.05am this morning as time. -
Audi RS4 - Faulty RS4 out of 9 months in the garage for 4 31 Jul 2010 (Forum)
I’ve explained I am willing to negotiate one of two options: 1) Full* refund plus compensation for the time I have had to spend dealing with the issues (I had to take their hire car in for a service, because it was supplied 1000 miles passed its due and it was supplied in an disgusting mess), amongst the numerous travels to the dealership, and leaving the office to field calls (I am self employed). -
Pandemic bargains 6 May 2021 (Forum)
Had I been trading still I’d put tyres on it and stick it on at £1695 but it’s going to a friend for the fee of a bottle of Morgan’s and I’ve every faith it’ll run for years. 2008 58 plate Mitsubishi Colt 1.3 5dr in blue metallic with 34,000 miles and one elderly owner from new who has sadly recently passed away. Wee car is very clean, tidy and in need of nothing. £1300 paid and passed on to a previous customer who’s bought loads of cars off me over the years, this time again the fee will be another addition to the Rum collection. 2011 61 Mazda 3 1.6 Tamura in white with 66,000 miles and a near full history. -

Choosing an MPV 14 May 2007 (Forum)
Our family is 2 Adults and 4 children. The elder two teenages are obviously adult size, and the younger two are now passed the childseat phase, though do sit on small booster cushions. So we regularly need to carry 6, and if we go away for a holiday, we need to be able to carry 6 plus luggage. To carry a extra 7th is a necessity as well, since we are regularly entertaining school friends etc at pick up time. -
Mazda 2 - Used car advice, been standing 30 Sep 2022 (Forum)
On the up side, it does seem to be a very genuine little car, in good condition, runs and drives well and it has obviously been well serviced and looked after and has not been passed about, it's only had 2 owners from new (plus us on the V5). You are right in mentioning the notorious Mazda rust, however this affected pre 2008ish cars,- Mazda sorted this out years ago and the later cars are not affected by the old rust problem. -
TOYOTA AYGO - Loud Grinding Noise - TOYOTA AYGO 20 Jul 2021 (Forum)
This was not a major issue and I lived with it for three plus years. It was only on the off-chance I told them to investigate. Someone did therefore take the car out and test for this issue and they did state they also smelt something and that it needed further investigation. -
Quickest way towards the driving test in the uk. 13 Feb 2017 (Forum)
Long story short, I am a full time teacher in the reading area and I live in Southwest London and the Southwest train commute plus the bus and walk commutes in between schools is literally making me sick. Have a had a bad cold for a month and I can not shake it off. So the lack of car is jeopardizing both my job and my health and making me misserable and is all due to a bureaucratic nonsense. -
Citroen C5 2009 diesel exclusive 138hp - Life with my C5 4 Aug 2011 (Forum)
Having passed a year with the car I thought I'd scribble my comments for what they are worth. Firstly I bought it because I've always liked something different, I think its gorgeous, and trail to Aberdeen most weekends: a round trip of circa 350mls. -

Skoda rapid - 2 years / 20k miles in a Rapid (HB) 29 Mar 2016 (Forum)
On the plus side I found the car comfortable, exceptionally roomy and relatively quiet when cruising (70 mph = ~2100 rpm). The MDi & 64 Gb USB stick / Bluetooth audio streaming satisfied my audio needs and the huge boot allowed me to carry furniture on more than one occasion. -

Mazda - Mazda used approved warranty claim advice, please 13 Jun 2009 (Forum)
In January this year I bought an approved used Mazda MPV 2.0TD through a Mazda dealer for £5000 which came with a years Mazda Zoom Zoom Plus (ZZ+) warranty. When I bought the car she had covered just over 52000 miles. In order to qualify as a used approved Mazda it had to have Full Service History and pass a rigorous inspection. This was a blue chip car. -
Dodgy mechanics 16 Oct 2004 (Forum)
I went to pick it up and was told that the gearbox had come off and they had \'sorted it\'. It was EXACTLY the same to drive as when I took it in, plus now it had a squeak which wasn\'t there before. I looked at it properly when I got home and the gearbox hadn\'t been touched. It went back on Saturday morning with a few stern words and the garage promised once again to \'sort it\'. -
I've received a PCN because I had to find an ATM before paying for my ticket. Can I do anything? 26 Aug 2010 (Ask HJ)

Volkswagen Golf IV (1998 - 2004) - 03 1.6 ABS pump 19 Aug 2009 (Forum)
The front wheel trims were scuffed, I replaced them, the 2 year service was due, I had it done, I replaced a couple of bulbs and had paint repairs on a couple of small scuffs to the front bumper, minor and very tiny dents on the doors (hardly visible and certainly not photographable). I was confident the car would pass any inspection. At the end of the inspection I was given an estimate for £1700 plus VAT to 'put the car right'. I immediately took it to two garages for an independent inspection - both agreed with me the car was in good condition and had a very small amount of use - which they considered fair wear and tear. -
High Court Enforcement 5 May 2018 (Forum)
I plead, i need to see a judge as the lady has clearly used a ficticious address to pervert the course of justice so i would never recieve any paperwork, she then ups it to the high court, and they come out with a writ of control, so that can happen to absolutely everybody. I ive paid £4500 to her, plus £1000 to bailiffs and she STILL has the car. I have also been to the police and they have taken a report of fraud. It goes to an external bureau first andf they then pass to police if necessary which they deemed it met criteria A nightmare scenario which im sure will make alot of you tingle as it could happen to absolutely anyone. -
Replacement car suggestions 21 Aug 2005 (Forum)
Pros: Storming performance, well equipped, understated image, more reasonable servicing/maintenance costs than I had expected, and it?s been totally reliable (never broken down or needed remedial work to pass an MOT). Cons: fuel economy, showing its age, ride on urban roads is utterly abysmal, residual value disappearing fast Add to the equation the fact that I have recently changed jobs to one which involves using the car for work on a daily basis.
