After having previous poor experience of chevrolet dealers since purchasing my epica in August 2010 a few words in praise of Cawdor cars in Carmarthen who did the 2nd year service with all the necessary bits done correctly, including brake fluid, fuel filter air filter oil filter AND correct grade of oil! and returned the car clean and tidy. -

Audi A6 - Audi A6 1.9 TDi 5 speed vs. 6 speed manual 16 Nov 2010 (Forum)
Does anyone know the difference between the 5 and 6 speed manual gearboxes? I thought the 6 speed would be higher geared, so more economical, but the official fuel consumption figures show its less economical. -
Vauxhall Astra H (2004 - 2009) - Reported mpg of 1.6 Club? 7 Feb 2010 (Forum)
I've just read the Ultraviolet report on the Astra Club 1.6i 16v which claims an overall fuel consumption of 55mpg. Shurely shome mishtake, mishta??? Even Mrs W's 1.6 Focus, when driven like a nun on a motorway run, will only get 44mpg. -
Skoda Yeti SUV (2009 - ) - Best car for a rough lane? 13 Jan 2010 (Forum)
, perhaps a 4*4 to get better ground clearance/ robustness? We do NOT need or particularly want a 4WD ( with the fuel penalty) as I can drive perfectly well with 2WD, despite current conditions oh and diesel, diesel, diesel cheers M -

FIAT 500 (2007 - ) - Is anybody out there discounting... 7 Jul 2009 (Forum)
Salesman we spoke to on Saturday suggested that 'a customer' might be able to 'negotiate' a free set of mats and a tankful of fuel, but that would be about your lot! Funk White teamed with Red Leather, tinted glass, front fogs and those lightly anodised(?) 16" alloys is a most attractive package for sure... -
Peugeot 307 (2001 - 2007) - 2.0 HDI - MPG question 7 Jun 2009 (Forum)
I've got a 2.0 (90) SW and think I'm probably only averaging 45mpg in what I would consider to be quite fuel efficient driving and journeys. I was expecting 50mpg ! Is this normal? -
Possibly using red diesel...consequences of.. 5 Feb 2009 (Forum)
Without being too specific, a 'neighbour' was woken up last week by a knock on the door and a white van parked outside bearing the words 'HM Customs & Excise Fuel Testing Unit'. It was generally common knowledge that this person was filling his commercial, and private cars, from a tank at the rear of the property. If red diesel was being used, what are the consequences? -
Isuzu Trooper (1998-2003) - 03 3.0 engine problems 25 Oct 2008 (Forum)
Problem one is engine revs up on its own when stopped at traffic lights, between 750 revs and 1000,mainly when cold. The other query is when i unscrew the fuel cap thier's alway's a hiss as if pressure is building up inside the tank ? J F A. -
Motoring under the Tories - will it be better? 14 Oct 2008 (Forum)
Will life for the motorist improve if the tories get elected and stay in power for a good decade like labour? Will there be a return to lower fuel taxes, more road building, fairer VED and less gatsos? Or are they just going to tow the 'green' line like all the other misguided, gullible, ignorant, arrogant, narrow minded, short sighted, interfering hippy lunatics? -
Peugeot 307 CC (2003 - 2008) - 06 1.6 turbo boosting 7 Oct 2008 (Forum)
With a 1.6Hdi 110hp, if the turbo pressure was boosted by altering the actuator push rod. Would the ECU system see the extra boost and increase the fueling, increasing the power. As you could do on the mechanical pumps and turbos of such as the 306 Pugs and ZX Citroens. Curious as the question was asked by a friend. -
Audi - New A6 in dealers from October 14 Aug 2008 (Forum)
I received this link yesterday. I would imagine you'd need to be Russian with a black pond in the garden to fuel the £85k V10 Biturbo RS6 with 580PS and 650Nm. Looks a nice balanced car to my eye now. Previously, it always looked like a big car sitting on a small platform to me. http://tinyurl.com/6pe65e -

No car - I feel naked... 21 Mar 2008 (Forum)
The 406 went in for a service this morning - had the call to say a return pipe from the fuel filter has snapped off during service. No part available until Tuesday apparently. How naked do I feel without my car? I've even looked in to hiring a car in the meantime but they all seem a little expensive.... -
What was up with this Jaguar? 3 Oct 2007 (Forum)
On the M40 this morning, I was passed by a newish XJ - 54, I think - that seemed to be trailing a little silvery cloud that wasn't spray rising from the wheels. As it disappeared, I noticed it was also leaving behind a strong whiff of diesel fuel. Anyone like to suggest what might have caused this - and what risk it might have posed to the Jaguar driver and the rest of us? -
diesel hike and vegetable oil 2 Oct 2007 (Forum)
With the increase in fuel costs and having listened to the radio this morning I have decided that it could be time time to start using vegetable oil, on a 50/50 basis sort of fill up drive a couple of 100 miles add vegetable oil,and vary it. -
