  Not being technical minded on cars, if I accelerate hard whilst over-taking or drop a gear going up a steep hill the engine sometimes over-revs, but the car does not go any faster. If I lift off things seem ok. Otherwise she runs fine and is very reliable. This is a high miler.

  my car runs great when cool or i have less than half a tank of fuel but when it's full and reaches normal temp it starts choking, kangarooing and eventual stalls, while this is happening whit smoke come from the exhaust.

  Have ordered a tool from their website and have been waiting for it to arrive. I've decided not to shave again until it turns up and I'm now running a book on how long my beard will get!   i have got this fault code coming up p1431 the car is a renault grand scenic 1.9 dci 2006 i have had the particulate filter changed also the turbo actuator replaced the car was running fine for a week and now there is no power it wont go over 50 anybody got any ideas...

  I have recently changed the Fuel pump,Injectors and turbo my car runs but in the higher gears it has no poke ! it smokes in 2nd and 3rd when i push it slightly.Been told my timing might be out as i done the fuel pump myself i could have moved the cog when i put it back on.

  Hi, My wife's Lupo has EML ON. The fault code is logged as P0171 "Lean Burn" Bank 1. The car runs as well as ever with good fuel economy and passed it's last MOT without any emission issues. Can anyone suggest where I should start to find and resolve the problem ? Thanks.for any help.

  ive changed the head gasket on my engine, before removing i locked down the crank, cam and diesel pump. fitted a new cam belt now when running its very lumpy on tick over and smokes. been told the desiel pump timing is out but how do i alter and which way

  Currently I go up the M3 onto the A316, through Chiswick and Hammersmith, past Westfield and follow the A40/A41 Park Road (According to Google Maps) It's slightly longer than the M4 route the GPS took me once, but you keep moving and it's a nicer route. Just wanted to run it past you all!

  I have just bought a 2008 mondeo 2.0 tdci edge and noticed that when i turn off the engine it makes an audible whining noise which lasts around 6 seconds then stops.There is no noise while running or at starting..just when the engine is turned off..is this normal...

  Have a 2.5 Forester with Sat Nav. This is a european version run through a Kenwood 0910 dvd player. I want to update the info but Subaru want a lot of money for this, at around £400. Does anybody know where I could obtain a 2011/12 dvd covering Europe, or for just France which is what I am really interested in.

  When my wifes C3 is stood without the engine running or key turn on the back washer pump will come on every couple of minutes. I have removed the fuse for the back washer pump and you can hear a relay (maybe) click on and off which I have assumed is the course of the problem.

  Hi guys , looking for some help there are terrible fumes in the cabin they are like crankcase fumes checked the exhaust it was ok no leaks, no oil leaks,air filter was clean would changing the oil and filter be of any benefit there are no loose or punctured breather pipes the car runs as sweet as a nut i would be obliged for any help

  Just changed the fuel filter on my accord and it has a device to prime the fuel through, which you pump did that and it starts and runs fine, but if i leave the car for a few hours it wont start untill i prime it again !!

  Hi my car been running fine but sudenly 4th,5th gear are hard to select and cant get reverse at all with the engine runing or not ?? 1st, 2nd & 3rd select ok but feel like they have moved closer to the drivers seat can any one help

  98 mazda 323f. my car keeps losing power (lights dimming, radio turning off etc...) and the only warning light i get is the airbag warning. does anyone know what could be causing this.? i turn off my heater and pretty much everything else and it seems to run ok again. it starts no prob in mornings

  Hi my car is loosing coolant alot of it, probably over a litre every 20miles or so, with no smoke, no oil mixture, if it was losing that much coolant would the car normally run, it boost up properly with no smoke, i can do 70 , 80 mph with no issues or smoke. Getting it presure tested tommorow, hopefully will pick something up

  the sunroof is not working on this vehicle checked for voltage at switch with ign on to-day checked all fuses all ok.  Maybe engine has to be running for voltage at switch can anybody shed  any light on this.   Wiring diagram.   Fuse location.   Any feedback greatly appreciated  Best Regards Mickeybo

  SWMBO has just called. The Scenic's lost power and has flagged up "Check Injection". Seems to be running fine, just completely gutless. Not smoking, no funny noises. On its way to the dealer now. Any ideas what we're looking at? Cheers DP
