BMW 3 Series 330Ci Coupe - Buying back category S write-off 18 Mar 2019 (Forum)
My car was involved in an accident last week and my insurance company has just informed me that it will be a category S write-off. I am considering buying it back and repairing, but it appears the insurance company are effectively charging 25% of the value for this, here is the text from the insurance company "As you are aware the pre-accident value of your vehicle is £3212 and has been agreed by our Engineering and if you want to keep the vehicle we will deduct 25% because your vehicle is a category S Total Loss (structural damages) we will also deduct your £100 Policy excess. -
Audi A1 1.4 TFSI S Line - How to tell what engine output VAG 1.4 TFSI. 1 Nov 2015 (Forum)
My daughter has just taken delivery of an Audi A1 1.4 S TFSI S Line on the NHS lease scheme and as I went out for a little test drive, I wondered how we could tell if the engine was a 150 BHP or the lesser 125 BHP. Now, the 150 which she ordered has the cylinder on demand feature that closes down 2 cylinders under light load but I actually didn't feel that this happened at all. -

Crazy motorway driving 24 Nov 2008 (Forum)
Result both lanes blocked. 300 metres later when there are 3 lanes I overtake Polo and then pull into N/S lane. Only doing 60mph. Polo about 55. Watched her in my mirror. Motorway is a series of long bends. On LH bends she pulls into N/S lane. On right hand bends she pulls out and occupies the third (O/S, overtaking) lane. -
Are 4X4's bad designs? 29 Nov 2006 (Forum)
Do people really want such impractical cars or are the manufacturers telling us that we want them? I like 4X4's as a concept, but the execution seems to be loosing its way somewhat. -
Japanese imports - to be avoided? 19 Sep 2003 (Forum)
I have read that the Prelude?s engines are ?highly stressed? (quote from Parker?s Car Chooser) and that therefore servicing is important ? so a 10 year old Jap import might be somewhat of a gamble, with no history?? -
Pathetic! 11 Mar 2003 (Forum)
I was parked in South West London yesterday afternoon. All perfectly legal, inside a parking bay, displaying a vistor\'s permit, etc. When I got back some moron had parked his Volvo S80 with the front number plate touching mine, and on double yellow lines, and on a speed hump, and facing the wrong way, and obstructing someone\'s drive, but displaying a resident\'s permit (which I guess made it OK). -

Suzuki SX4 S-Cross - Suzuki S Cross 1.6 DDiS Allgrip - conflicting dealership advise 6 Jan 2020 (Forum)
Hi I have recently purchased a used '14 plate Suzuki S Cross with 30,500 miles on the clock and in very good condition. Some 5 - 6 weeks after I purchased it the front wheel arch trim on the offside of the vehicle has started to come away. The trim clip is broken and some (what looks like) silicon sealant has been squirted into the gap - presumably in an effort to re-attach it. -

MINI Cooper S - 2014 Mini Cooper SD 17 Nov 2014 (Forum)
I've been searching every search engine and YouTube etc but can't find anything about the Cooper SD...it's all Cooper S reviews only. I've recently purchased one and collect it this week, I test drove both the Cooper S and SD but fell in love with the SD, granted it doesn't sound anything like the S but I enjoy lazy torque power and with the motorway driving I do it seemed perfect for me.
