Having just watched the final episode of "Day of the Triffids" can now report that the only cars that will remain in running order following an invasion of carnivorous plants are: Smart convertible 2CV Range Rover So there you have it- no more discussions needed on what to buy:-) -
Anti Congestion Patrols 7 Oct 2009 (Forum)
Just heard on the local news that Essex County Council or police (sorry couldnt remember which one) are running Anti Congestion Patrols. I can just imagine it, "sorry sir, you must pull into that field as if you carry on there will be congestion". How else do they expect to control congestion? -

the car runs 'ragged' at light throttle settings. Is this because the engine is mismatched to the car or possibly dirty fuel injectors, coil pack, lamba sensor or something else Any advice please Thanks -

Yes it's true, next door neighbour's bill for 2 new Michelins on 18 inch alloys, new shape Mondeo estate diesel. Makes a bit of a mockery of running costs for "Mondeo man"!! Mental note to check the hidden costs before buying next car! -

With the cold weather now upon us it is worth checking tyre pressures. They drop significantly (several psi) during cold weather so it's likely your tyres could be running several pounds under pressure which in turn impacts handling, grip and fuel consumption increases to mentioned but a few. -

It's 14x60x195. I have a near-unworn, in-date, 13x?x175 tyre on a rim with the same PCD. If I were to run it on the back, opposite a 14x60x195, what issues might I noticees? -

An item on BBC1 news this morning said that only 1% of people who got parking tickets appealed against them but, of those who did appeal, 60% were successful. Clear message there - overwhelm the system, and money-grabbing sharks who run it, with a blizzard of paper! -

If you had the choice of a 2004 Nissan Micra 1.4 SE Auto or a Ford Fiesta 1.4 Ghia Auto, both at £5700 from franchised dealers, which would you go for? Nissan known for reliability, Ford for cheap running costs.....I just don't know! -

1998 Audi 1.8T A6 digi Display 17 Jul 2007 (Forum)
98 A6. Today although the display light to tell you the door is open and 'OK' once the engine is running the display appears totally blank. I note the car was rather hot due to sunshine. Any Ideas. Regards Peter
