  • xantia ABS sensor, which side? 26 Aug 2004 (Forum)
I had removed both front ABS sensors from my 1993 L reg Citroen Xantia 1.9TD SX and they have got mixed up. They look identical apart from a small number on each, one says 1 and the other says 2. Does anyone know which is which? I know I should lable things as I take them off and hopefully this will serve as a lesson to me!
  • On-Car Wheel balancing in London Area 14 Jun 2004 (Forum)
Can anyone pls tell me where I can get wheels balanced on the car, preferably in London area? I have a 1955 Citroen Traction Avant, and the bracket to hold the hubcap covers the central hole, and no-one has a 5-stud adapter/cone big enough to fit the wheel from the back. All information very gratefully received, either here or vinnyroe@yahoo.co.uk Thanks Vinny
  • C5 Steel wheel recall 24 Oct 2003 (Forum)
Saw this on autoexpress.co.uk this morning - know there's a few C5ers in here so if you don't hear something very shortly make yourself heard down the local dealer.... "Around 14,000 Citroen C5 owners are to be given a new set of wheels - but it's because their current ones have been found to be faulty and could develop cracks. The factory recall affects steel wheels on 180,000 LX models across Europe."
  • Replacement seats 13 May 2003 (Forum)
Can anyone advise me where I can get seats to replace the manufacturers original. I have recently bought a new Citroen C5 and on long journeys it's killing me - awful support for the lower back. I live in the north-west so if anyone can point me somewhere I can get an orthopaedic seat(or simply a good seat) fitted it might save me having to replace the car which is otherwise OK.

By the time the car is three years old it will look like all the others. Alternatively, you could do what we do - always try to take the Citroen C15 white van to the supermarket. Then watch the beemer and merc drivers scatter! ;-) Ian Cook

  • Xantia air-con/heater 1 Feb 2002 (Forum)
After about 10 miles of driving, the warm air flow turns cold and stays cold, unless the lever is moved to the "red". My Citroen dealer has looked at it twice and can find nothing wrong, implying I don't know how to use it. Any ideas please?

  • Citroen C5 Mk III - Suspension issues 10 Apr 2016 (Forum)
If anyone with more knowledge than me of the C5 Mk III Hydractive suspension (so that would be everyone, probably) recognises the symptoms and more importantly the probable cause, I'd be very keen to hear. Nos. (1), (3) and (4) started happening about two months ago and my usual Citroen dealer is in denial about it. When (2) started happening, I insisted he get Citroen in to look at it. I'm taking the car in on Tuesday, it would be useful if I could give then some useful information on what the problem(s) might be.

  • An enjoyable morning 1 Jul 2021 (Forum)
You’ll think I’m mad but I spent an enjoyable morning cleaning the mil,s car, it’s a thirteen year old Citroen c4 Picasso, it’s got a few dings and stone chips so I know I would be ok using a waterless wash without fear of causing any further damage, it’s only when you get close up and personal that you notice things, sure the alloys are starting to bubble in places, and , as mentioned the odd stone chip, but it’s in remarkable condition for its age, I was quite impressed with all the features, plenty of storage cubbies, fold out tables for the rear passengers, and plenty of room, not sure of the mileage, but I guess it’s not much, it’s done the odd airport trip when they used to go abroad, but up until her hubby passed at the end of last year, it’s not been anywhere save for the odd local trip, it passed its mot recently, and she was asked if it were for sale, I don’t think much has gone wrong with it either, a new cam belt last year, but her son looks after any mechanical issues, so just the wear and tear/ servicing stuff needed, It surprised me how taken I was with it, if er indoors could drive one, I’d seriously consider getting one, newer of course…anyway I’ve finished my rambling…and no, I don’t work for Citroen

  • Scenic 1.9dci power loss / light on 2 Jul 2018 (Forum)
The following was sent in an email to the Renault dealer where it received its second 'treatment'. They reckoned that the computer hadn't been reset after the work by Citroen, and they reset it. It didn't work and nothing has changed from the original write up below: 'The engine loses power intermittently, in conjunction with the yellow glow plug / electrical fault warning light coming on.
