  My brothers 2.7 diesel S type auto. will not start after leaving the battery flat for a long time, everything seems to work but when the key is turned nothing happens (as if you are in Drive and not P or N) any ideas anyone please?

  Hello, I have an intermittant problem with the alarm (factory fit) on my 53 plate Zetec S. The car locks correctly ie press the lock button twice but the lights don't flash, then sometimes the alarm goes off a short while later. Anyone had a similar problems or ideas, Cheers Euan

  Hi, I need an aerial adaptor to fit an aftermarket stereo into my S-Max. Is the Ford aerial Fakra, ISO or anything else as standard? I beleive I will need an XXXX to DIN convertor to fit the aerial into an Alpine headunit. (Somebody has told me it is a Hirschman to DIN that I need but i just want to check with guys that have done it) Thanks

  hi i have been getting a knocking from o/s i think its coming from the leg its very much like when the antiroll bar bushes go but they are fine. has anyone had anything like this ,engine and gearbox mounts ect are all ok .cant see anything under car . please help.

  For what reason I do not know Jack Lilleys in Shepperton have a showroom full of 04 pre-reg Triumph Speed 4's for £4,250. A great price in itself but given they had at least five sitting there possibly even cheaper for those holding folding. Too small for me (6'2") but a lovely bike for those in to 'street fighter' looks.

  Plus I get confused when watching Top Gear / 5th Gear because I never know if they are talking to the wheels or to the flywheels. For example, this past weeks Top Gear they road test the new GTO and he says it?s 302 BHP. Well here in the USA it?s advertised as 350hp, but that # is to the flywheel, not the wheels. Are all the HP #s on those shows to the wheels?

  Take the Golf for example: In a basic form, the Ford Focus is better. The Golf only gets good from Gt Tdi's, GTi 150 Turbos, V5's and V6's upwards. VW has some good engines, granted: But I've so many friends that have nothing but serious faults and quality issues. So, Come on, Educate me. Cheers - Jon S

  Had complaints about severs judder on start off and thumping changes between 1st and 2nd on current shape S Class models built late 1998 through 1999. Can anyone shed any more light on this, particularly Andrew Bairsto in Dresden. Apparently the box was modified for 2000 model year and the problem then disappeared.

  Hope " elekie&a/c doctor" is still around giving excellent advice ! I've recently become the owner of a 2007 R56 Cooper S. My third mini and I love it :-) The N/S headlight has a funny quirk. When I switch the headlights on, they both come on and rise to the correct height, as they should do. After a few seconds, the N/S headlight switches off and on a maximum of 3 times a second or so in between and I get a "light alert" come up on the tach and then the flashing headlight stays on and operates perfectly.
