Wheeler Dealers TV show 5 Oct 2003 (Forum)
MB finds and buys the car, and EC does the necessary repairs. Then MB tries to sell for a profit. Last night we had a Mini Mk2 850 and a Saab 900 Turbo. Later cars (from what I could make out from the opening titles) will be Porsche 924, Mercedes Benz 280E (W123), Ford Capri Mk3, and VW Golf GTI Mk1. Must say I thought it was quite enjoyable entertainment. -
Which small car? please help me! 6 Nov 2002 (Forum)
I am inclined to go for the Mini as its very stylish and nice inside but the 6 month delivery is an off putting prospect. The t sport is stylish and very quick with 0-60mph in 9 seconds but insurance group is highest at 7 and interior a bit plasticy, but £2500 off rrp is excellent. 206 xsi a very nice car, is insurable and available now. but perhaps slightly big? -
Kia Picanto - Small automatic with umpff 9 Dec 2023 (Forum)
I am looking for a small automatic now that doesn't scream when I'm trying to overtake up a hill and has decent acceleration to get out of trouble. I have driven a mini Cooper automatic that was quite impressive but has a hefty price tag. Parent had Picanto automatic that was not quite up to par. Does anyone have any opinions/suggestions please. Thanks -
118i - BMW Prince engine 1 Feb 2016 (Forum)
Not really interested in diesel versions due to the well documented problems with that engine and my probably too short commute of 18 miles each way. Basically this engine was quite problematic in earlier Mini's but from 2011- was 'improved' in regards to PCV system and timing chain. Looking around there does not appear to be many reports of problems with newer engine or are they all with to few miles on them for the problems to show. -
Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCi - Fault Code p0221 29 May 2015 (Forum)
Turn off and start again and all ok. The fault code P0221 is showing on the ecu. If it was an old mini i would clean the carb, thats what it feels like. -
Building site plant 8 Jan 2014 (Forum)
Been driving a mini dumper for the past couple of days. I've heard of dumbing down but this is crazy - it has ONE pedal. Forward and reverse selected on an stalk just like the indicators. Getting used to it but trying to edge up close to a steep bank to dump materials was scary...I hate automatics at the best of times but without even a brake pedal to stomp on as a last resort, was something else entirely! -
New car for my wife 20 Jul 2013 (Forum)
We also will live up quite a steep hill so will need a reasonable amount of power Fiat 500L Duologic Trekker (she really likes this but I wonder if it may be a little underpowered). New Suxuki SX4 (definite option) Both Mini Countryman SD ALL4 and Skoda Yeti 140 SE 4x4 are too expensive Can anyone think of anything else.
