  Same on my 99 TD voyager,u can feel turbo kicks in about 1700rpm then at about 1900rpm u loose power ,almost as u let up the trottle to almost idle speed, if u move trottle in and out over 1900rpm there is no difference if u have little or full trottle,and engine would run better than this even without turbo pressure at all,in my opinion its the computer who tells the dieselpump to go into modus of lettn trottle out so it dont much power because its something wrong....a sensor or something...same problem here,no reading codes on testequippment, mine was running perfect,then i had battery out to change screw on bracket to fasten batt,i started it again,let it run for a while on idle,saw that i had pushed hose from cranccase off big tube who goes from airfilter to turbo(there is a sensor there to)conected it back on,and drove it,then i noticed this s*** had happend...and headace starts,and all this can be coincedence......

  Just for clarity, mine is a late mkII despite the year, and it's petrol. :o) Anyway. For a while now it's been juddering and running roughly, especially at low revs when cold. It feels like it's misfiring on one or more cylinders and at worst it's impossible to accelerate uphill in anything higher than 3rd gear due to stuttering and juddering, and it often can't easily accelerate to or beyond 70 on the motorway unless I drop a gear and get the revs up.

  I either run the Picasso or RAV. RAV is elderly now and not efficient as above figures show. Picasso is low mileage just 56K and fighting fit. RAV happens to be fantastically reliable. 1)Not sure if to sell the RAV and pick up an elderly but maybe reliable diesel.

  As in MAX to MIN on the expansion tank every 2,500-3,000 miles or so. 2) Whiffs of hot coolant particularly at the end of a long run when parking up, and when first getting out of the car. This seems to be coming from the expansion tank area under the bonnet. 3) Temperature gauge climbs from its normal half way point to the 3/4 mark under hard acceleration, or VERY quickly in stop/start traffic.

  As far as the exact turbo, I would suggest the T3/T4E hybrid with Super E50 compressor wheel & Stage II turbine wheel with a .63 A/R turbine housing ( T3 Flange ). I'm running a gas flowed head, 3" JT exhaust, no cat, Aquamist running 50% methanol, modded airbox with JT filter, mbc plus minor other mods on this engine and am running about 1.6 bar but this might go up to 2.0 bar as I have a race engine built awaiting fitting thus want a turbo which will be able to supply 350+hp reliably.

  t like it and then they split up and it had been sitting on his drive for 18 months bar a six month period when one of my Dad?s other colleagues borrowed it) to use Lead Replacement ? as the car was running on fumes when I was given it I put £20 of Lead Replacement in it and I?m wondering whether this is the problem as I thought that it would run on Unleaded. We have a 3 acre farm in North Wales that we?

  The whole bottom edge of this "plate" is running with oil, and oil is seen to be running down the plunger for the timing belt tensioner. The addition of stop-leak in the oil has made no difference, and apart from a split hose (now remedied) I have no loss of coolant.

  There seem to be plenty of Volvos but I am pleasantly surprised by the number of Peugeot and Renaults running around. VWs are plentiful too.

  Looking at the new sandero/stepway/logan model info and it looks like Dacia are stopping making Diesels available... looks like they have the run off stock of the ones they already had Such a shame as the diesel is the best engine of the bunch

  Wow, it sounds like the forgers went to quite a bit of trouble. Now you have the original VIN, it might be worth running another HPI check - but on the VIN number. I'm wondering if the original car was classed as a Category A or B write off.

  Have had the seals changed on all 4 injectors.  The car runs sweet but I am getting diesel in my engin sump could it be a bad seal on the fuel pump?

  Hi, My aircon stopped working suddenly, had the gas checked and all fine. The small bolt in the front of the compressor is not turning when the engine running. Could this be an electrical problem or is it definitely a mechanical failure of the compressor. Thanks Dave

  Abs and brake light on in dash ,abs pump running all the time even with keys out. Its a 2007 model happened while car  was parked. Anybody have any ideas thanks..

  I  have recently had the glow plugs replaced on my E220, now whenever the engine runs at any revs above a fast idle the engine puts out lots of white smoke, any ideas ?

  which tyres would you recommend for my mazda sport 2.2d.   would they run better on 16in steel wheel rather than the 18in alloys low profile which are fitted.   thanks

  2003, done 100K runs perfectly but indicator light on for "transmission service". Garage tells me must replace gearbox!!  sounds like a rip off. does anyone know what this indicator measures; Thanks

  Hi, does anyone know how to turn the headlights (that are constantly on) off on my S60, the manual says that they are daytime running and there is no way to turn them off, but they are so annoying! thanks for your help!
