Land Rover to celebrate iconic Series and Defender at Revival 18 Aug 2015 (News)
This fascinating Land Rover was built by Bertam Mills Circus in the late 1950s. It was designed to give the impression that the circus elephant, named Kam, was driving the car. In addition, 11 of the owners of pre-production Land Rovers have confirmed that they are to participate in the celebration weekend. The vehicles, which all descend from the famous pre-production vehicle number one, ‘HUE 166’ are believed to be the largest number of pre-production vehicles ever seen in motion. -
A Grand Monday: Peugeot 406 Coupe V6 £450 13 Jul 2015 (News)
Over the past eight years, it has been well looked after and comes with plenty of service history, including a cambelt change at 141k. Its most recent service was in March, 2015. We’re told it runs and drives very well and is in good condition, but the lacquer has peeled on the bonnet and roof. Oh, and did we mention the engine? It’s the 3.0-litre V6 with the manual gearbox. That means it’s good for 0-62 in 7.3 seconds. -

Racing Astons return to Hotel de France after 52 years 2 Jun 2015 (News)
From 1953 until 1963, the Hotel de France at La Chartre-sur-le-Loir was the base of the Aston Martin team for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Drivers and mechanics would prepare their cars in the hotel’s courtyard and then drive them on public roads to the famous circuit – now history has repeated itself. On Monday, after two days of testing at the Le Mans circuit, three of this year’s Aston Martin Racing V8 Vantage GTEs and their drivers, Darren Turner, Richie Stanaway and Mathias Lauda, recreated some of the famous photographs and film footage from the 1950s of the cars being prepared at the hotel and leaving for Le Mans. -
Historic racers wow Race Retro crowds 22 Feb 2015 (News)
. Drivers included rally legends Ari Vatanen, Dai Llewellyn, Jimmy McRae and Stig Blomqvist. The list of cars theory were driving was just as impressive, ranging from Tony Worswick’s Ferrari 308 GTB and Mick Strafford’s Firenza V8 to the Lancia Delta S4, Peugeot 205 T16 and Ford RS2000. -
‘Blue Train’ Bentley to star at Paris classic car show 4 Feb 2015 (News)
He arrived at the Conservative Club in St James, London for a celebratory drink having passed the clock at Victoria Railway Station at 15.30 the next day, four minutes before the train was due to arrive in Calais, having averaged 43.43mph driving on pre-motorway roads. He won the £100 wager, although the Automotive Club de France attempted to fine him £200 for an un-authorised race in France. Richard Charlesworth, Head of the Bentley Heritage Collection, comments: ‘We are most grateful to Bruce McCaw for the loan of his legendary Bentley Speed Six. -

It's long, slender and delicately styled, and thanks to an exclusively six-cylinder engine range, you know that it's going to be quick, good to drive, and sound special. Of course, good 6-Series BMW values are on the rise now, expecially the wonderful M635CSi, but it's interesting to see that without much effort, you're still able to pick up a usable one (code for scabby, but with a whiff of MoT) for not too much money at all. -

Unique Wood & Pickett Margrave to star at Historics 1 May 2014 (News)
. John Hammel’s association with the Margrave goes back to 1973 when he became its third owner. He used to drive around in it with Steve Marriott of Small Faces. Incidentally; Steve Marriot described this Cooper S as 'a 100mph pair of shades'. In 1978, John sold the car to Denny Laine; apparently, Denny’s wife Jo wanted it.

A 1961 Ferrari 250GT Series II Cabriolet with coachwork by Pininfarina, in need of restoration. It had been in the same family for 40 years, and was sold for £707,100.
