  How hard is it to change anti-roll bar bushes, in particular on a 2002 Volvo S40? I'm reasonably competent with a spanner, but I've only got a 2-tonne trolley jack and axle stands, not a ramp.

  I have a 1991 Volvo 1.7 with a worn Carb. and on limit of emission rating with no further adjustment available . Anyone have any bright ideas? Existing carb is Solex twin barrel downdraught Code 28/34 CISAC Z-10.

  Several times recently, my Volvo V40 alarm system has activated for no apparent reason. I now have to leave it locked but unalarmed for fear of disturbing the neighbours yet again. Any ideas or is it a major dealer investigation job?

  volvo v70 d5 2003 is being hard to start from cold. i have put new glow plugs in but there is little improvement. any suggestions, thanks.

  Hi. I recently inherited a Volvo C70 convertible. I was reluctant to part with my reliable Carina, so I decided that I'd use the Volvo for six months of the year, then swap over. Adding the Volvo to my existing policy was cheap enough but, the renewal quote for both cars is well over £1,000, (Admiral).

  I'm hearing different reports of when to have the big service done it which inc the cam belt etc. Volvo dealer initially said at the 4th service that he could have it done but it wasn't compulsory and that the intervals have been extended. I'm sure if I contact them now they'll suggest that he gets it done straightaway.

  Just very early stages of looking at used cars, any one have experence of owning a Volvo 850 GLE 2.5 Estate with a manual gearbox circa 1995/6 vintage. Just really interested in likely fuel consumption. I live in fairly mpg friendly Norfolk which helps a little. The fuel consumption figures are likely to determine if i look at them any further.

  Can I use this stuff, or are these fluids really manufacturer specific? The Volvo's handbook is no help - it says use "genuine Volvo power steering fluid". Which of course is marketing spiel rather than any technical requirement. What spec is needed for the car, and is this Ford stuff OK to use?
