  my car seems to run fine if left overnight but on occasions when when left for a few hours after my first trip the engine will start running idling rough . Almost feels like the ECU may be running in limp mode . I kinda ruled out HT leads and plugs because it starts ok and runs ok first thing in the morning .

  I've since changed the thermostat with a genuine item, and the fault is still apparant. If it was running hot i would be thinking pump/ radiator problem, but what could cause running cold other than a fault temp sender for the indicator. No other problems wrt starting or running in general.

  Hi, Do all minis come with run flat tyres. I have a mini one 2012 and a couple of years ago when the tyres were changed a mini dealer told me they were run flat tyres. However i went to Kwik fit recently and was told they were not run flat tyres.

  right when i start van it run fine and after a while it starts to run rough .when ticking over and i rev it up it runs rough but when i depress the clutch it revs out fine .changed maf sensor and still does it .any ideas anyone?

  What would be common to these type of engines whereby day to day running is affected? I cant work it out. A clue with the Transit and the Galaxy is if you go for a run say 10 miles, park up for an hour then drive off again, it runs much better after that little rest. This all affected the transit the most....

  Whats the correct operating temperature for Pug 406 1.8? I changed the thermostat as I thought it was running a bit cool at 75 degrees. Now it runs bang on 70 degrees. I thought the ideal temp is about 85 degrees.
