TVR returns in style with an all new Griffith 8 Sep 2017 (News)
Inside the two-seater, which TVR describes as suitable for 'everyday use and long-distance driving' the designers are promising ample head room and cabin space plus 'adequate' luggage space. There is a bespoke instrument cluster and an infotainment system specially designed for TVR. The first Griffith models will come as a special Launch Edition, which gets a full leather interor, special paint options, a bespoke infotainment system and custom alloys. -
Line up confirmed for Brighton Speed Trials 16 Aug 2017 (News)
The line-up for this year’s Brighton Speed Trials has been confirmed and promises enthusiasts some spectacular high-speed action. The event, which takes place on Madeira Drive on Saturday, 2 September, will features vehicles from classic to modern. Len Wooller, of the Brighton and Hove Motor Club that runs the event, said, ‘We have a terrific line-up for this year’s Speed Trials. It will be an action-packed day out for all the family. -
Ferrari 308 with V12 engine conversion heads to auction 19 Apr 2017 (News)
The car will be offered for sale at Silverstone Auctions’ May Sale, taking place at the Wing, Silverstone Circuit on 13 May. This right-hand drive 308 GTS QV was delivered new to Maranello Concessionaires, Surrey, on 8 March, 1985. Finished in Metallic Blue Chiaro with a white leather interior piped in blue. Factory options included a deep front spoiler and air-conditioning. -
Five-speed gearbox conversion kit for MGBs 18 Jan 2017 (News)

Fuel prices continue to surge as pound plummets 2 Nov 2016 (News)
While the increases will add woe to those who are striving to cut the cost of their daily drive there are some signs of improvement on the horizon. A barrel of Brent crude averaged just under $50 through the month but ended October at a one-month low of $46.63. Wholesale prices should respond in the coming days by dropping around 1p and 2p a litre for petrol and diesel respectively. -
Only Fools & Horse’s Jaguar E-type sells for £116k at auction 6 Sep 2016 (News)
An original UK 1963 Porsche 356B TG Super 90, that at the time of consignment was the only right-hand drive Super 90 Coupé on the market in the UK, sold for £146,250. A well presented and maintained 1971 Porsche 911 T sold for £69,750. Collectors of American classics were drawn to a 1968 Shelby GT500, which sold for £142,875, more than £42,000 over its lower estimate. -
1963 Morris Minor to Travel 3,500 Miles Within Britain in September 4 Aug 2016 (News)
To celebrate the Morris Minor Owner's Club 40th Anniversary, a 1963 Minor 1000 is to travel 3,500 miles in September visiting every MMOC branch and all nine Marie Curie residential hospices. During its marathon drive, starting at John O'Groats and ending at Land's End, the car will also visit locations significant to the Morris Minor, including the site of the former Morris works at Cowley where it was built, the British Motor Museum at Gaydon, the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu and the former home of the founder of Morris Motors, Nuffield Place. -

European Commission vows to clamp down on emissions cheats 10 Feb 2016 (News)
Most pertinent to the Volkswagen scandal, the EC is cracking down on cheat devices too – already illegal, of course – by demanding access to a car’s software systems for investigation by external authorities. In addition, a new measure called Real Driving Emissions requires car manufacturers to explicitly state how they’re reducing real-world CO2 and NOx emissions – a transparency measure that the EC claims will make it especially difficult to get around emission requirements. -
Memorial to honour Endurance Rally Association founder 18 Jan 2016 (News)
A prolific ambassador of the historic rally movement, Philip was a larger-than-life character who pushed motorsport boundaries, organising marathon and endurance rallies all over the globe. Rare Lamborghini Countach 400S joins Race Retro sale 7 Jan 2016 (News)
The car, which is one of just seven made, is up for sale at the Silverstone Auctions sale at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire on 28 February. This original, right-hand drive example, estimated at between £200,000 and £250,000, has covered 61,155 km (38,221 miles). According to the MoTs, it has only covered 2880km (1800 miles) in the ownership of the current vendor, having been used lightly for the past few years. -
Frankfurt Motor Show 2015: Last Defender to cost £10,000 – but it’s a pedal car 16 Sep 2015 (News)
It’s constructed precisely to scale and incorporates all of the Defender’s distinctive characteristics, such as protective chequer plating, cylindrical running bars and rugged off-road tyres complete with mudflaps. A spokesman said, ‘The drive assembly is constructed to enable the young driver to pedal both forwards and backwards while a spring suspension and working brakes – complete with parking brake – will allow the little one to go on many big adventures.’ Inside, there’s that familiar dashboard, working hooter and rear stowage section with cover. -
Frankfurt Motor Show 2015: Next-gen Kia Sportage launched 15 Sep 2015 (News)
. Kia hasn't released any details about engines yet, but expect the line-up to include a range of four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, offered with two-wheel or four-wheel drive.
