Credit Card payment 2 Mar 2005 (Forum)
Would a dealer accept a Credit card for payment / part payment of a car? It?s an easy way to pay for me, and gives a couple of weeks for me to transfer cash from various accounts. Plus I'd get £30 of Tesco vouchers. -

Cup Holders 4 Feb 2002 (Forum)
I always wondered what use cup holders were - on the motorway this morning, I glanced across (enviously) at a lovely S class Mercedes and noticed the driver was busy cleaning his teeth! And no we weren?t stuck in traffic at the time!! -
Smelly Primera diesel 11 Mar 2001 (Forum)
My 98'S Primera Turbo diesel really smells of diesel vapour when idling. We've had the car checked, fuel return pipes replaced and washers on the fuel pump replaced, but it still stinks. Any ideas? -
Any - Does Start/Stop Technology Really Save any Money? 23 Jun 2014 (Forum)
I have been attempting to make my own comparative measurements on a Sept 2001 (61) registered 22,500 miles (and rising) 1.25 litre supermini over intervals in excess of 1200 miles and it is proving difficult to see any significant benefit or improvement in fuel economy by manually 'emulating' the behaviour of a well engineered s/s system such as might be found on cars with sophisticated alternator and battery management systems designed to optimise fuel economy and overall performance i.e. as per BMW 'efficient dynamics' specifications. -
test car variability 28 Dec 2013 (Forum)
Another reviewer, by contrast, commenting on the car’s chassis dynamics, suspension and damping, concludes that 'the good chaps at Suzuki have done an exceptional job on the S-Cross as it behaves very well on the road, with very little float and yaw, no matter how "enthusiastically" it’s driven'. HonestJohn's review, on the other hand, stresses that 'suspension can be a little bouncy', particularly on the lighter petrol engine, while David Ross in his Road Test notes: ' The ride is a touch on the firm side, particularly the rear suspension set-up which can be noisy over poor roads, but the majority of the time the S-Cross is comfortable and smooth. -
Throttle Hesitation in Xsara HDi 22 Mar 2013 (Forum)
It really does depend on the road type in terms of whether throttle re openings are a common occurrence. Apart from that it?s random except that the only time it occurs is with a throttle re opening. ·In all cases, it?s like as if the engine electronics is failing to recognise a change of load and is very slow to change from a lean mixture to a richer mixture. -
Honda Accord Tourer (2003 - 2008) - at 100 5 Feb 2010 (Forum)
Economy over 100k miles is about 41 mpg for the 2.2 diesel, but I don?t make any real effort to drive economically. Saying that, there?s a lot of motorway miles on there, so it?s not that impressive. I?m on my 3rd set of front brake pads if that helps put it in context? Probably a neutral point at best. Bad? Well the faults have been minor but Honda are not good at fault finding. -
Think I\'ve seen the last of my car.Part2 3 Nov 2003 (Forum)
Weld on door frame still looks dodgy and window frame is still bent, but service manager informs me \"that\'s how it comes from VW\". Rejected car straight away and was told to sit in reception for a while while he tried to sort it all out. Came back 15 minutes later - paint on scratches still wet and looks bodged. -
Works of LJK Setright 2 Apr 2018 (Forum)
