  I've just bought one of these cars and don't know whether it's a good buy or not. It was cheap and has a year's warranty. It's on an S plate 98 and is the SE model. What is the general view out there?

  Jsst recently bought a Passat S reg 98. The clutchs biting point seems way to high, i was wondering if thats normal on a VW car or whether the clutch is going on it?? If it is, does anyone know how much it costs to replace? Thanks

  I need to replace the front tyres on my Golf. Currently have Firestone-F-580's. (175/70R13 82T) Are these good tyres? In the same league as Michelin Energy or Continental Eco? Any recommendations gratefully received! Thanks Andrew

  Just a thought. I've owned an 2002 R50 Cooper and now own an 2007 R56 Cooper S. Both of them have had identical clutch judder when pulling away. Any comments guys ? ebt..................

  Strange problem, when i turn on the ignition on my S reg 306 D Turbo, the sidelights come on. If i then turn the lights on they go a little bit brighter. Checked the lightswitch stalk by disconnecting it, still the same. Any ideas please?? Tom.

  Hi   have a Mondeo, 1998,    recently the main fan(s) seem to cut in sooner on car, and seem noiser too, and the temp gauge appears to be slightly above normal (midway ) ?   any ideas what is causing this ?   thanks

  Fuel filler neck pipe is broken and garage say no new spares available. They can patch with rubber solution but it will not pass MOT. Where to get S/H item from?. TKS

  Any body ever done a head gasket(s) on 1 of these? Sounds like a nightmare to do, any known problems/tools etc to watch out for? Book time of around 20 hours for gaskets, water pump and timing belt ?
