  2) If so, would I find it on top of the radio if I remove it? Surely that would be pointless as if someone steals it, they would have the code! 3) Is there another way to get the code if it isn't on top of the radio? Many thanks

  I've very carefully followed the instructions for entering the code but after 3 attempts the radio locked up for 30 minutes. After 10 attempts the radio will apparently lock up permanently. The only thing I can think of is that the dealer supplied the wrong radio code when the car was supplied.

  The radio works fine but it does not pick up , any radio stations . Before I changed the battery and the broken antenna oi would pick up , easly all radio signals.   Thank you for all your help, Cheers, Kaskais

  Hi all, I was hit a month ago on tghe passenger side,it did do quite a bit of damage ,so send it for repair.They had to take the dashboard off in order to repair it,so now that the car is repaired the radio does not work. I checked on the radio booklet ,but could not get the Radio Code. I was quoted £28.00 to get the code from the Dagenham Fords,which I think its quite a lot of money. I have used 9 attempts to open the radio and have failed ,I have one more attempt to open it,if it failes the radio will lock.

  A colleague of mine has got a 3 year old T reg Passat TDi 110 estate which has got persisitent poor radio reception. Th dealer has under warranty changed the aerial, coax cable and Gamma radio (for a recon one) but reception in still rubbish, he mainly listens to radio 4. The dealer seems to acknowledge there is a problem but claims there is no solution and later Passats were OK, but refuses to fit a radio from a later Passat.

  I have a Ford Transit 06 plate and can't get the radio to work, the CD player works and you can use the radio itself but it doesn't pick up any radio stations and since its a commercial vechicle that does long drives some of our drivers are getting bored on the journeys.

  My company 55 reg VW transporter radio has the VW Beta radio which is great apart from I can't stop the RDS traffic reports keep cutting in. When they do I press the TP set button and it reverts back to good old Radio Two! Any ideas on how to change this so they dont cut in in the first place?

  Can anyone give me step by step instructions on how to remove the standard radio/cassette from a T Reg Toyota Picnic. It has the standard \"face off front\". Do I look to slip the radio removal tools down the side once I have taken the front panel off? Someone has once told me that the actual radio is secured by a bolt behind the dashboard?

  I bought a Ford Focus at auction in Feb. All seems ok and I'm happy with the car. Unfortunately there is no record of the radio's security code. The radio is working fine, but i guess i'll have a problem some time in the future. It is a factory fitted radio. Can i get the code from a central database somewhere ? If not, is the problem easier to deal with now while working than it would be after a flat battery ?

  I see today there are another four requests for Ford radio codes;  searching the Technical forum shows hundreds of similar pleas for help.   Strangely, no requests for radio codes for other makes, why is this such a frequent issue with Fords?
