  Renault Megane, 2001, petrol, 1.6 K4M engine. Came out of the shops and it was running rough, On the way home lack of power, funny smells, and engine light flashing periodically. I've had the usual coil problems before, so removed connectors one at a time with no difference, apart from the engine nearly dying with each connector removal.

  A fair few years ago my dad had a Renault Megane Scenic.  He didn't keep it for long when he found out there is a significant problem with the design of the offside drive shaft.  There is a splined coupling joining two sections of the shaft together.

  Hi all. My other half is having starting problems with her 2005 Renault Grand Scenic - sometimes takes 2-3 minutes to start, but once it's started it runs ok. I've been told that the problem could be the TDC sensor & it's worth taking it out & cleaning it.....problem is, I can't find it.!

  we have just been told buy renault that we need a new slave arm (spelling wrong) the clutch went straight to the floor on monday and eventually today they put it on the ramp and informed us this was what we needed part costing £218.00 and labour over £700.00 do we have any other options as 2 local garages have said only renault can do this we are based in boston south lincs did not know if a renault specialist may be even a bit cheaper PLEASE PLEASE HELP thanks neal

  Hello I've just bought a Cyprus import renault scenic from motorpoint of derby and i've been trying to check out if it is undersealed as good as a uk renault, as a collegue remarked that he had heard of Cyprus imports going rusty quick? I've been in touch with renault UK and they have explained its got a 6 year anti corrosion warranty but UK cars have a 12 year warranty?

  Blimey, just popped over to the competition, Parkers, and had a browse around there 'Ownership Problems' forum, the new megane has 31 pages the majority of which are complaints, but then you look over the next 3 pages and an awful lot of people are complaining about pretty much the whole range, I had to chuckle as I only saw about two problems about Rover cars. I've no axe to grind about Renaults in fact I actually love the tsyling of the Megane, but wow, Renault seem to be having a few issues at the moment which got me thinking, will the press now turn on Renault in the same way they did with Rover?
