Disappointed

Started off so well. Car looked nice, drove smooth and was pretty nippy. Not my first Subaru. But 8 months in and the problems started. New clutch needed after few thousand miles. New shock absorber needed after hitting a series of potholes on one stretch of road (unavoidable). Engine blown rebuild required due to crack on standard oil pick up (fairly common fault on 2.5L engine). No oil leaks or signs of leaks. No engine check light beforehand. No warning beforehand. Engine then forged and closed decked. Recent overheating and coolant leak. Completed 1.5 hour drive beforehand. Again, no signs or warnings. Noticed sudden leak when I got fuel. Most recent. Loss of power and turbo boost. Reason, crumpled and clogged down pipe and catalyst converter. Yet again, no engine check light and no warning. Just happened while driving.

Stick with the 2L WRX. Much better engine and can be tuned much more than STi.
