The Range Rover Evoque is visually outstanding, inside and out it’s magnificently finished, flawless in design

This is my second Evoque, the first being a new manual 2ltr diesel, 2 wheel drive version in an SE spec. I had the car for 4 years from new and had only minor issues with it, all taken care of under warranty.

On this occasion l decided to leased a hybrid version of the car which is the P300 4WD automatic in dynamic S spec. Petrol & Electric engines. Combined 300+ hp. Again, this car is outstandingly beautiful inside and outside and considering it’s an S spec, you wouldn’t get better in a higher spect competitors car. This car has exceptional power and acceleration to use when needed. Have never got my head around the claimed combined miles out of a gallon of fuel, used in conjunction with the electric & petrol engines, but I’m ok, as l mostly do short journeys. Fully charged battery gives me approx 32 electric only miles and l have the choice to run only on electric or combine with petrol in hybrid mode. If you have your own home charger as l do, you have the convenience of charging at home and if your doing short return journeys, you could run this car entirely on electric, although the savings may not be significant depending on your utility provider. This car has served me well over the past 3.5 years, however, I’ve done only 16,500mls and had been trouble free until a few weeks ago, when a driveshaft broke. If l could give any potential Range Rover owner advice, l would recommend that as soon as your 3 year warranty has expired, buy yourself an extended warranty, as like all other car manufacturers, these cars can break and can cost a fair bit to repair. My experiences with Range Rover over the years has been a good one. Maybe I’m fortunate with JLR Pentland Dundee and a very helpful and accommodating after sales manager.
