Abarth 500e (2023 on)

Tourismo
Nimble fun sharp - sub-hot hatch
Great build quality, refinement and nimbleness this is a big leap over petrol Abarths.
Pieces are now attractive with £27,950 Tourismo's at Arnold Clark available I note.
It's not super fast and tbh the front wheels couldn't take much more torque anyway with torque steer already in icy conditions.
The steering feel is excellent and the 3 modes are useful to suit your mood.
The demerits are the seating is still too high (6ft) and your ankle/shin gets pain on long
journeys, nowhere to put left leg as plinth is tiny and the seat back has to be too upright for good bent elbow driving. Range in winter is 131 miles only.
Finally, at 9/10 driving, it doesnt feel leach like in corners....and i have had the front tyres wash out in understeer quite early on damp roads which surprised me compared to say a Cuppa Born that didn't in same road/conditions.
Overall it's compactness and feel good factor though outweigh the demerits and until the new alpine R5 Electric arrives it's the best EV you can get for a 50 mile back road blast !
