- New Black Edition and Vorsprung trims
- New Dynamic Plus mode for S5 and S6 e-tron
- More physical controls, fewer touch surfaces on steering wheels
- Optional built-in dashcam
Audi has announced a range of updates for the Audi A5 range, the Audi A6 e-tron, the Audi Q5 and the Audi Q6 e-tron range, starting from mid-December.
The overhaul includes two new trim levels and various tweaks and new features across the cars. All models lose their Edition 1 trims for 2026, but gain both Black Edition and Vorsprung models with extra features.
There’s the option of a built-in 4K dash cam with local recording plus there are improvements to the Audi infotainment system with a simpler interface and the ability to mirror smartphone functions through the Virtual Cockpit digital driver display, not just the central screen.

The AI-driven Audi assistant now integrates with ChatGPT while Bluetooth controller support lets you play console-style games through the car’s screen (when you’re not driving, obviously). Passengers can also connect Bluetooth headphones.
On the Audi A5, the optional Tech Pack (£2495) has been upgraded with Matrix LED headlights included, and the Comfort Pack (£995) now features a heated steering wheel with heated front and outer rear seats.
The performance Audi S5 gets a new Dynamic Plus driving mode, which gives a more rear-biased handling through the setting on the differential and electronic stability control.
The Audi Q5 and Audi SQ5 get the same Technology Pack upgrades and the Comfort Pack is available for the first time.
The Audi A6 e-tron range now gets enhanced regeneration that means it can brake to a full stop on just energy recuperation with no need to use the brakes. The new Dynamic Plus mode is available on the Audi S6 e-tron and across the range there’s an improved Technology Pack, costing £3195. It includes Matrix LEDs, heated seats and steering wheel plus an auxiliary air-con system.
The Q6 e-tron also has stronger regenerative braking, and gets the same Technology Pack upgrade to the A6 e-tron (£3195). Prices for the updated models remain unchanged.
