April Launch Date for Citroen C5

Wed, 24 Jan 2001
The new Citroen C5, which replaces the Xantia, is to arrive in the UK in April at class-competitive prices starting below £15,000. The engine range will include a new 2.0 litre 16 valve petrol engine, a new direct injection HPi petrol engine, a new 3.0 litre petrol V6, a new 2.2 litre HDi diesel engine and the current ultra-economical 2.0 HDi engine. The new car is bigger than the Xantia, built on an entirely new platform with a very spacious interior. A unique feature is Hydractive suspension which automatically lowers the car at speed.
