Ford Focus Estate tdci 2005 1.6 - Abs warning light - rec
I have a whirling sound on my Focus the abs warning light came on. In the morning the battery was flat but the car started after a few mins charging. On moving the car to its normal parking spot the abs light would come on if the steering and brake applied at the same time.The battery is less than a year old.The fan belt looks OK and is correctly tensioned.

You need to get the alternator charging circuit checked.The whirling sound is usually an indication of a faulty alternator,although the charge warning light may not illuminate to indicate a fault.hth
