While pulling out of a car park I lost drive, the dashboard lights started flashing.

It cleared when I selected park switched the engine off waited approx 1 min then restarted engine this was on Saturday 8/12/12.

Sunday no problems, any ideas as what caused this to happen please ?

I did take car to car wash (drive through one ) the week before & noticed lots of water sprayed all round the car & underside, car ran a bit rough after wonder if all that water got in any where it should not have ?

Also some of these car washes do underbody wash/waxes as well I think I might have had one.

I do not normally go to these car washes I have the car hand washed.

I have never had this problem before car has done 20750 miles serviced by V.W.

Will phone them Monday to see what they say.
