Volkswagen Polo III - 2000/2001 - Horn and Illuminated Heater Controls - csgmart

Does anyone know where the horn on a Polo of 2001 year is? Mine has stopped working and the fuse is fine but I can't locate the horn in the engine bay.

Also, when driving at night none of my heating controls are illuminated. Is this how they are or should there be some form of lighting so I can see which control is which? My rear view deminster and AC buttons are illuminated at night so it's strange that the heating controls are not.

The lack of heater illumination is likely to be the very small 1.2w wire ended capless bulb that is located behind the centre control. Use a pair of cushioned jaw grips to pull this off and then a short length of 5-mm fuel pipe needs to be pushed over the top of the bulb and that will then allow you to pull it out. A new bulb from VW is their part number N 017 751 2 and they cost about £1.60. The horn is on a bracket behind the front bumper under the car and has constant ignition live from fuse 19 on a black yellow wire so make sure the voltage is present.
