Citroen Xsara Picasso - Citroen xsara Picasso 2005 1.6i 16v cam belt chang - 1jim
Hi everyone

Can't see this anywhere but does anyone know when I should change cam belt and the gubbins on a Citroen xsara Picasso, is a 55 plate, 1.6i 16v petrol, has done just over 50k on the clock.

What would you expect to pay for this kind of job?

Likely needs doing now, if the car is used on short journeys (a lot of stop starts) every 45 k is recommended . Expect to pay £230-onwards depending on which part of country you are in

It's a 10 year old car. Time and mileage based changes have long since ceased to apply. Use common sense, and change it if it hasn't been done for a while. I used to change mine on an old Astra I had every two years, whether I thought it needed it or not.
