Anybody know of an insurance company that will put a vehicle insurance 'on suspension', ie the vehicle is off the road on a SORN and therefore there is no road use risk. If you lay something up for 6 months it could be an appreciable amount. If you cancel insurance the amount you get back is derisory and it affect the next quote as you have not had 'continuous' insurance cover.

In America suspension is a regular occurrence AND if you cancel you get back the per diem rate in full!

We are being ripped off big time. Bikerbill

I've got 'garage risks' or laid up cover on a vintage car. Insurance company offered it unasked!

Car is with Fortis.

Not always - using something like google for 'laid up insurance' brings up most of the big names supplying what you seem to want??
