Golf MK4 - NSF door won't open - t37rev

Can anyone help, the NSFdoor will not open on my MK4 Golf, the lock appears to unlock and lock manualy and with the key fob but the door will not open, I have the inner door cards etc all off so have access to the lock from inside the door but can't get the lock to release. I have a new lock on order but how can I get the door to open so I can change it.
