Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDI (2003) - Skoda TDI Turbo 'sticking' - Who Can Fix - u1112211
My 2003 Octavia TDI has in the past year or so developed an intermittent lack of boost.
Having looked around the web it seems that here is a common fault with the VGT turbo where the vanes become clogged.
Here seems to be a few places on the web hat claim to be able to fix this by cleaning the turbo. Some by taking it of and others in situ.
Is this a realistic fix? And if so can anyone recommend a firm (ideally near ish to the south coast)

Have you tried it elekie&a/c doctor?

I'd be very suspicous of any product that advertises: "Ideal for all diesel engines with Variable Vein Turbos." (sic)

And: "not only will it cured limp home mode" (sic).

Why would anyone spend all that money on a web page like that and not check the spelling and grammar?

Yes, I have used it and it does work.But it really depends how badly seized the turbo vanes are.It is certainly worth a go before a replacement turbo.hth

Just put in to google 'turbo' and 'mr muscle' - plenty of people have used/and are using this fix (I've also used it with success on several VAG diesels).

I'm sure various people will jump on me saying it's a bad idea, will damage the cat, but I can vouch for it's success and had no ill-effects.

As always, you do it at your own risk and you make the judegment.....

My son had the same problem on his partners golf, he used "mr muscle", I thought him mad at the time, but the car appears to have suffered no ill effects and the turbo problem is cured...
