Garmin - Garmin Ecoroute - how good is it & the dongle? - JulesW

I have just bought a newGarmin nuvi which allows the Ecoroute software. Has anyone else tried this and what are people's views?

Secondly, is it worth buying the dongle that plugs into the ODB port?

Ecoroute just scores your trip based on acceleration, braking and the speeds you did. Do 50mph all day and you get a nice green leaf to feel all smug about!

The mapping on Garmin leaves a lot to be desired TT mapping leads by country mile.Even with the latest map update many major roads in europe are missing and the directions are pretty useless relegated the Garmin to a drawer and bought a TT.
