I've recently started a new job as a valeter im on a 3 month contract then a full one after this. I have crashed at the weekend and the company are saying I have to work an extra day for free each week to cover the excess is this allowed and can i lose my job x

Hi Gaynor ...... whoooooops! It happens, unfortunately.

It happened to me a few weeks after I joined a dealership; on this occassion the dealer did not ask me to pay for the repairs.

Your's can't make you pay for it either, unless you have signed something to that effect.

Of course it will be very easy for him to not renew your contract. Although do you really want to work for someone who holds you financially responsible for accidents that happen at the workplace?
